Just returned from a trip to the National DDay Memorial in Bedford, VA for the 81st remembrance ceremony with fellow Forum members, Adana, RevWarBuff, and Hunter Rose. Gov Youngkin and Joe Balkowski, author of 5 books about the 29th Division, were key note speakers. There were 10 WWII vets, one 105 yrs old, in attendance. It was a very moving experience.

The D-Day memorial is an amazing place. Went there in 2013. It is not just that arch and a few statues. It's a very large complex. You have to see it to believe it.
