Gentlemen,
Has anyone picked up on the latest two EA releases, EA56 Austin Utility and EA57 Bedford Truck. Not the fact that they are great little additions to the EA range, but as a K&C number cruncher and "Sycophant" (Thank you Kingtoot) I noted that a big gap in the range has occurred. Where are EA43 to EA55? Do we have 13 new Eighth Army sets on the horizon??????
Gets you thinking doesn't it.
Cheers Howard

Howard

I actually ordered the Bedford to put with my AK Germans as a captured vehicle !

The Afrika Korps did a lot of reusing enemy vehicles and I think its a great way to display this item without collect the EA series. Looking forward to the truck !

Yes Howard, and apparently they are all Aussies :D

Seeing that they haven't been released yet and were only just announced, I haven't yet picked them up but have them on order.

Perhaps the missing numbers are for another LRDG release. Can't believe that it would be a one time thing.

Looks like there will be plenty more goodies coming down the line for the Afrika faithful. Though I have noticed K&C do this with ranges all the time its interesting the chain of thought behind it having specific releases in ceratin numbered sections rather than just the next release will be x and so forth. Adds to the what will be next I suppose

It certainly does Howard, wonder what might be coming???:). Could K&C really be about to unleash loads more 8th Army after all the stuff we've just seen?!

Field artillery..... 88mm gun with crew, 25Ilb/17Ilb guns to take on some of the armour that has been released on both sides of the Afrika campaign

IMHO the Italians are vastly outnumbered, yet I have an impression that they were the greatest army (in quantity) in Nth Africa during WWII!

I'm sure that most would agree with you but I would suggest it is quality not quantity that attracts collectors to this theater. For the record I don't mean that as a derogatory comment about Italian soldiers in general, it's just that with a few exceptions that theater doesn't represent their best battles in history.
