That's why its really important to make sure you are really buying a K&C warbird - you are paying for the fact its a rare collectible, as K&C made very limited numbers of their warbirds. This seller is asking the kind of money you would expect to pay for a K&C Horsa (of which only 3-4 were produced) for an item you can readily obtain for around $500 from any number of Philippine factories.

If you want a rare K&C version, you are getting ripped off, and if you only want a 1:32 scale Horsa Glider, you are getting ripped off. Either way, stay away from this seller.

As far as the early warbirds being "crappy", there were 3 factories, two of which produced very nicely detailled matt warbirds, some of which had open canopies (Spitfire MK5) or sliding canopies (P40 Warhawk and Hurricane MK1) with interior cockpit details. The one for sale here happens to be from the factory that produced a less detailled glossy finish. These glossy warbirds are among the rarer ones, and actually work well with the glossy "First of the Few" and RAF ground crew sets.

I think he may have confused it with the Storch I posted, that one retailed to me direct from the Phillippines for 150.

Regarding the seller, I know him and he's a well known K & C collector. I believe he's a partner or principal of K & C France. However, he wasn't clear in the posting, which could be somewhat due to his not being a native English speaker. If you choose to deal with him, you should be on safe ground.

The horsa glider i have got took nearly 4 months to make and was meant to be nearly 900 pounds but the guy made a mistake in his pricing and scale and i got it redone for 450 pounds in true 1/32 scale

I defer to Brad on this one. The seller Brad is talking about is certainly reputable. I didn't know who the seller was, so my comments are misplaced.

That's probably not possible because of the size of the plane, the wings would break off.



I looked at the photos and it doesn't say K & C. The last two photos are photos of the K & C brochure. I have two Motion Model planes and that is their kind of base, plus their kind of packaging.

So Brad if the wings would break off that would leave a long fuselage?So no excuse that a 1/30 scale U-BOAT couldnt be built,yeah i know cost but it would sell IMO
