Headphones guy looks like he is wearing SS splinter by the looks of it but cannot be sure until I see it.
Panzer lehr did not serve in Italy as far as I know but will check it out. they were not formed until 1944 out of the German teaching schools hence the name as Lehr means 'learn' or 'teacher'. Regardless of my German language inabilitythey would have been too late for the Italian campaign.
Still maybe binos guy had a brother serving in Italy who posted them up to him or maybe his mum bought the material on a day trip to Milan after she popped into Armani for the pre Christmas sale and knocked him up a pair of trousers as a Christmas present. These no doubt would have been delivered by Father christmas Sepp!!!:)
Actually Lehr formed in 1941 but don't think they were a combat unit until 1944 when they were sent to hungary and then onto the Western front for
D-Day. Fought at the BOB and later surrendered in the west in May 1945. So guess that proves it - Binos guy mum must have bought him the trousers!!:)

... Well I'm going to pick up the halftrack in the USA, $199 or £170? Fortunately, I do a lot of travelling so it looks like $'s for me.

Just as an aside, lets do a conversion at $1.8 to the pound.

K&C Halftrack in USA = £110.56 which equates to 59% of the UK price

Britains new PAK Figure Set $117 in USA which equates to £65.00. The same figure in the UK is £69.00. Which gives the US price at being 94% of the UK Price ...
Dear Andy,
This issue was discussed in the thread: "Rest of the World Tax Free." With VAT factored out, I understand the import duty of 17.5% charged by the British government was the reason UK list prices were higher.:)

Wonder if she got it wholesale :D

Andy

Any chance of getting me one from the US. Selling car paints i dont get much chance to get to the states on business and the last time i went Mickey Mouse was not selling K&C

I have had a couple of deliveries come from the states and had to pay the 10%import duty 17.5% VAT and then the postage from the US. The item i orderd was nearly 80% cheaper it was a few years back when we nearly hit $2 to the £ but when they added all the things back on i was out of pocket and wish i had picked them up from my local store!!! Chance we Brits take i guess.

That was before i started to collect K&C, and i was ordering a lot of things so maybe the postie got suspicious!!! Now its great i dont pay delivery for my K&C as they have moved nearly to my door step, so i pop in when my wife and credit card allow me!!:)

Monty,
I would be in serious, serious, very serious trouble if a K&C dealer were within any reseasonable distance to me. Its hard enough with my computer and all the dealers being just a click away. But to have a dealership where I could actually see, touch and feel the piece, OH MY, what trouble. They would have to file a restraining order on me to keep me more than 100 feet from the store after new arrivals come in.

I feel for you guys in the UK. It has to be hard with the changes in the money value market and the high price of taxation and duty that you have to pay. But, you have cheap health care and very reasonable social welfare programs for when you are in some of life's storms. The US is slowly doing away with the safety net for the less advantaged. Yeah, I know polictics but there it is.

Anyway, happy collecting and try to stay out of the Neville's place a little bit so that they don't get tired of you playing with the new toys.:)

Hey Michael,
Don't forget--we're the ones with the devalued dollar. Everyone's supposed to feel sorry for us:p .
And based on your last post, if you REALLY want to you can come down and wander the aisles of Treefrog Treasures to your heart's content. We might actually even let you open some of the boxes to see what's inside. Still have to charge you that lousy state sales tax though. Sigh.
Then again, taxes make the world go round.
