I was looking at the "dramatic displays" on the K&C website. In the diorama entitled "On the Road to Caen" there is what appears to be a Kettinkrad (German tracked motorcycle) towards the rear of the scene. Do you think this might be a glimpse at something to look forward to? I remember Bill Sager trying to get Andy to make one a year or two ago. Could this be the prototype? Or is it some other company's product (I know Britains made one a while ago)?

I think somewhere along the way Andy said that was a Britain's Kettengrad but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Louis,

I have asked Andy for 2 years now to make me an exclusive piece and it was to be the Kettenkrad. Since K&C has gotten so big, the making of special sets has seemed to go away. When I asked Andy about one of the Battle of the Bulge dios he did that had a Kettenkrad in the back next to the bulding covered in snow he told me it was one from Britains. I thought maybe my request was about to come to fruition, NOT! Oh well I'll just keep on trying.

Re: K&C Kettenrad?

Hi Guys, especially Bill S., Louis B. and Jazzeum,

Good news your wish is my command (sometimes). The Kettenrad with 3 great figures is scheduled for September (I hope) this year. Just in time for Chicago. And yes, I did utilize Britain’s old one for “background duties” in a couple of dramatic displays – it’s a nice little model.

Also did you know that Gerard of Frontline actually owns a real one!

Best wishes and happy collecting.

Since its a Sept release Andy can we expect this to be in the Winter scheme of paint design, since if I recall you stating recently, your Winter releases would or try to be in line with the OTSN or fall time period? Not to be greedy but this one could definately benefit in being produced in at least two different varients of paint.
Thanks for the update Andy.

Well, that is fantastic news. I can't wait to get it. Andy strikes again!

Bill must be thrilled to hear it, I know he has been pulling for one for some time.

I can't tell you guys how happy I am to hear this news. I have waited years for this and I am finally going to get my piece. It just goes to show you that a little patience goes a long ways!!!

THANK YOU ANDY:) :) :) :) :

Regards,
Bill Sager

Bill,

Since you've been wanting this piece for a long time, maybe you could get Andy to issue you a certificate that you have the first one ever made.

Brad,
That's a great idea. I hope you are listening Andy;) The very first one signed by you would be wonderful!!!

Thanks,
Bill Sager

Re: K&C Kettenkrad?

: ( How come, when I suggested also, a KETTENKRAD for the DAK( Afrika Korps); no one has approached me, for my DAK ( KETTENKRAD) Suggestion? NOW, is it possible to get a ------( OPEL MAULTIER CARGO TRUCK) w/ a Removeable Canvas Canopy? ----- Or, a LARGER SIZED HANOMAG/ w/ Transporting Infantry into Battle?----- OR, a HORCH/STEYR-Command Vehicle?---OR, 2-MAN MOTORCYCLE TEAM W/ SIDECAR? ---- OR, Possible Eventually ALL of these Vehicles?

Andy, you don't know how much you made Bill happpy. he's been wanting one those for soooooooooo long. I think he was even going to get one of those company's one..LOL....Thanks Andy !!!!!!.....ED

The Kettenkraftrad will be a great little vehicle that will not take up a bunch of display space. I do not care what color it comes in, I will be getting at least one.

I'll take one in every color Andy chooses to make it, Waffen SS, Wermacht, Winter, Afrika Corps, heck, I'll even take a luftwaffe version!

Does he let you drive it?

That should be a popular model for K & C.

Btw, does anyone know what the Britains version is made out of, is it polystone or metal?

Yeah, to pull the fighters around, or pull carts with bombs, etc. Hint, hint.

Hopefully something like these?
