K&C Retired Super Model Line Up (1 Viewer)

I wonder what goes on the block next. I have a feeling there is still more to come.

I with you on this one - Terry!

It is starting to look strange! At first there was no boxes - and then suddenly ....

He writes that he has got a lot of emails telling him of higher prices with boxes! In my world a higher price is a combination of box and figure! ;)

Perhaps someone needs to reunite all the boxes with all the figures...and jump in on EVERY auction :)

Is that a threat? :):) Go for it. It would go well with the big collection you bought a few months ago and fill inventory on your own auction site. Unless the e-bay bidding goes crazy, uniting all the lots and boxes will possibly add 50% to the sale value.

When you sell something on your site, do you have to pay the 4% fee to Shannon? :D:D

I just took a look at the box auction and this is pretty screwed up (any stronger words and I may get an infraction) but these are the boxes for the items he's selling. Can't he take the sweet time to match em up, especially when some of them clearly indicate what they are.

I really don't understand why people would bid on these split set lots without boxes unless the bids on each lot are for just the few high value pieces in a lot?

And not only would the boxes add to the value, but the pieces would be easier to ship in the original boxes. What is he going to do, create new packing for the figures?

Terry

I just sent him a curt email for what it's worth. Probably, not a darn thing. What ticks me off is that I bid on the 88 (I know I'm not going to win anyway) and one of the photos on the box listing shows the box! :(

Nah...these auctions are going to be fun for a lot of people! We'll sit back and watch.

His/her action of listing the boxes like this made it easy for me to decide to not place any more bids. In fact, I will retract my bids even though it will not make a difference at this point. FUBAR & SNAFU come to mind. What a cluster ****. They can teach monkeys to run auctions better than this!

Marc,

I think I'm doing the same. I'm a little disgusted.

Regards,

Why would all you experianced collector's fool with this amateur clusterf***? This would appear to be a real iffy proposition. If the seller won't even take time to match the boxes to the sets, the seller probably can't be trusted on his condition descriptions or his packaging abilities. It will probably just be a huge headache to the buyer. -- lancer

Not to mention what condition the winning bidder will get them in.

As impressive as this collection is, I wish anybody who takes this on the very best of luck.

For the seller to take feedback about boxes adding value and opting to sell them as a separate lot is un-real.

I am sure somebody mentioned Sagers site and that many figures from older sets will have set numbers written on the bases making it easy to match most sets to boxes.

To me, this seems like someone either desperate for money or completely uninterested. Most likely uninterested which is probably how that TK03 will be packed.

Good luck.

I think it may be a little rough on the seller to be too critical , most people
dont place the value on these little guys that we do . And if you had no idea
of thier value or interest in them it would be a real chore to try and sort them out.
At the end of the day it is only costing him potential return .

He knows enough to list them in the hundreds of dollars and he has bids over a thousand. If I had several thousand worth of K&C I would find out what they were worth and sell them as sets. Anyone who would sell them without boxes and then offer the boxes by themselves is out to lunch IMO.

I pulled my bid. I was concerned that if I won that they wouldn't arrive in one piece.

Listing in the hundreds doesnt count for too much mind you , even if you
had put a value 10 bucks a figure on some of those shelves you would have
come to around that figure .
I agree its not the way to sell if you want the best return [and the best chance of figures making it through the post alive] , but he is only
shooting himself in the foot .
