K&C style. (3 Viewers)

Alex, you have inspired me to repaint, ultra weather, add extra stowage to most of my current purchases, including K/C. Nothing is sacred anymore, once I pull it from the box. But I have collected others' stuff and they tend to lack in relative proper size ,even within their own lines, tend to break more easily, have bad decal detail, with poorer or no figures with the vehicles. Maybe the K/C way is that they are safer and more stable to buy from. Easier to deal with as to returns, exchanges, fixes..( thanks to an outstanding dealer network ) So, I have looked elsewhere and most others have been found wanting. Maybe that is why the K/C way and style remains more than just a cottage industry for some brands..IMO Michael

Glad you are having **n modifying your stuff.......K&C is outstanding as far as quality

That is the other topic that is interesting. I have had breakage with all of my products, but I would have to say K&C has had the least.

But you stated you are not afraid to modify, so a little break here and there should not deter you.

For some reason I love to work on TCS stuff....actually it is a benefit that the decals are poorly applied as they come off easy and you can change unit numbers.

Actually I have grown to like the K&C muddy tracks, because if you want to depict .....WELL.....MUD it is there already and you can just enhance it.

Where there is a will there is a way :wink2:

TCS Overhaul

K&C mud

Used with properly scaled figures ( OH boy not that topic again ^&grin )

Good question.

Oh and I know this may not be of interest but I'm also going to build a Hornby railway in my garage set on the Home Front WW2!

Obsessed, me, never!!!^&grin:wink2:

Rob
Rob very interested in the train mate as I'm collecting Figarti train range, at the moment just waiting on Mitch for the next diorama base for it

Superb pics those aren't they Neil^&cool I love both companies Fireflies (although I know you had trouble with the K&C barrel)

That's the thing mate, the internet is a double edge sword . It's great for info etc but cannot replace face to face. I've fallen out many times with folk on here and I tell you no lie Neil I ALWAYS walk away think *** did I do that!! We never argue in the pub at the shows mate (only about who's round it is!:wink2:)

This is a fantastic hobby and a fantastic forum, we both love the history of the subject and that my friend we will never argue about!:salute:: (Neil, if I ever cross the line again just type **** Rob...and I'll get the message:wink2:)

Thanks Rob. I've had **** Rob registered with the Moderators as an acceptable phrase to use on the Forum. Or can only Neil use it. If only Neil, can he use it on behalf of a 3rd party? I also think it's rules of useage (crossing the line) are too open to interpretation. Can you provide a few examples where it's use would be appropriate ^&grin^&grin

The Figarti DAK Tiger has way better detailing, accuracy, and paint.

JOKE....it was a joke!:salute:: I agree that the Tunisian Tiger is a classic, and still one of the best, KC sets.

I hope Ness doesn't read your post Terry, I'm sure she has hundreds of examples of ' crossing the line' :wink2:

Mind you, I say with some considerable confidence, nothing I've ever said on this forum comes close to the abuse I received yesterday from a fellow forum member now in the cooler I understand. Man has he got issues!!!{eek3}:wink2:
