About a week or so ago I posted photos of my new revised diorama of assorted K&C sets from thier EA & AK series relative to the WW2 circa October 1942 time of the German Army Afrika Korps Vs British 8th Army in North Africa.

Now on on the same sized wall shelve just below the one shown in photos from a week plus ago I have set up a small diorama of K&C's sets EA 029 & AK 050 or the German Mark III tank Vs the British Crusader tank in North Africa in 1942. In addition to sand I have added several model palm trees made by Fontanini in Italy. I just picked up these two K&C sets on 1/25/2011 from my local dealer. The first #3 photos are of the new diorama just completed today as well as the 4th photo showing the two new wall display shelves together. The new shelves are located in one of my display rooms in our basement. My wife may pull off a palm tree or two for a Christmas display assuming our one cat does not start biting on the palm trees again as it did for the first time this last month!

Those two tanks do look good on the sand. Well done. I like the way you've done your shelving as well.

Hi Gary,

I like your nice new tanks.....glad to hear you received the sets sooner than expected. Nice Fontanini palms trees too.....

Did you note the Panzer commander is shouting something to the Crusader commander on the horn.....perhaps an invitation to breakfast under the palm trees.....bacon and eggs plus a hot cuppa ?....:D:p

Cheers, Raymond.:)

They were the "Best of Enemies", weren't they?:p

I really like the sand base and palm trees. Don't have AK50, very cool tank. Just picked up the Crusader, love it.

Nice case set up:cool:

Excellent scene. I thought the two desert releases were very nice AFV's. A very innovative way to have your displays on your wall. I like the name plates also. Excellent stuff

Although this is not a diorama, it is from a war-game in which my club is play-testing a scenario from a new skirmish book by Britton Publishers on the counter attack at Mortain.

The buildings pictured are a collection of First Legion, Hudson & Allen and Conte Collectibles. The stone walls are by William Britain. The large oak tree is JG Miniatures and the dirt roads and mat are by The Terrain Guy.
