K&C's Focke Wolfe wrong type? (2 Viewers)

Well, I will be interested to see it and to see how it compares, in all respects, to the K & C version. It seems that with two Fws coming out so close to another, secrets would seem to be in short supply. Let's hope this doesn't start to resemble the movie Duplicity.

or...... Meet the Fockers! :D:D

as competiton grew, and the market shrink due to higher product costs, i expect these occurrence to multiply.

just look at what happened to the 1/6 action figures market.

What did happen to the 1/6 action figure market that compares to this

........and the 1/43 car market........

This baby looks like it would be a nice getaway plane parked on Wilhelmstrasse waiting for Adolf.

Well, I guess your agenda isn't hidden anymore. So much for denying you had one.

Terry
I don't follow any of these posts mate. To me, all he did was note a few historical and representational flaws. I noted some myself and I could care less who makes this one or the next one. So you hardly need an agenda to make such comments or making them is hardly proof ov having one, knowledge of another or not. Sometimes the simply answer is the best one.;)

Spitfrnd already pointed out the bumps on the nose for the larger MG. You noted the painted spinner. And there is a small fin under the improved centre line hard point under the A-7/A-8. The wing was redesigned to be lighter with more room for 20mm ammo, but I don't think that would be too visible.

Most diecast models (Corgi, Dragon, Carousel, Franklin) are of the A-3 no matter who flew it. Only Hobby Master and Witty make an A-8 (but not for Bar)

The most noticeable things are the spiral spinner and the cowling bumps for the MG, otherwise a great looking model. In fact, I think it is the best looking FW model on the market rivaled only by the Hobby Master which is only 1:48 scale.

Terry

Cheers:
I thought this image would be helpful in response to the many accuracy issues with this good looking kite! As an interesting side note, Bar reportedly flew an A7 fitted with a special large diameter wooden propellor. I have not seen an image of this one nor documentation to prove it-interesting all the same as I would not want to fly with one unless it was the last prop in spares!

Cheers Ray-sorry I missed your post earlier. I can provide high-cover for a little while before I have some more ADs to address. Talk soon and hoping for some future great historically accurate warbird releases!

Horrido,

I wonder if KC can fix that tailwheel gaff before issue? It shouldn't be much more than yanking out the incorrect wheel and inserting the correct replacement. Of all the "problems", this is the only one that bothers me. -- Al

Via the Toy Soldier World Enigma Code I heard that the tailwheel issue may have been corrected. Is there any truth to this or mere speculation till we actually see the kite in a few weeks?

Thanks,
Beaufighter

The tail wheel on the actual model will be in the down position. Don't know about the MG/engine cowling or painted spinner.

well, this is an interesting development. Even the rear wheel adjustment would give the new bird a very pleasant draft. I wonder what other adjustments might be considered? Anyone have any information, perhaps from the London Show, to share?

Mike

Mike, I can agree with that.....;)

I posted new photos of TG's Fw-190A-3 over on the Tom Gunn Miniatures section....

Now we can compair K&C's Fw, to TG's Fw.....what do you think..... :)

While the upclose detail look great on the TM, the paint schemes are totally underwhelming, I hope we get some close up shots of the detail like we see of the Tm unit, at this point I"m leaning K&C.
Ray
PS must have been a real rush to get the photos out as they camo'd the windshield green too??

Does anyone have a photo of the final version of the K&C model to compare to the TGM final version?

There pre-pro pictures of course....;)

Indeed....K&C's looks rather cartoonish and TG's has a more true to real life style, IMHO....
