Hi Rob,

{sm3}{sm3}

Any chance of a photo of a reasonable size for us non CC members?

I wonder whether this is this going to be a Chicago or a London release?

Looks like this will make a nice range. Don't really know a great deal about this era but, the first figure looks very good

In the K&C description for this figure they say "these ancient "sea-soldiers". The Athenians had a great navy that dominated its Greek rivals. Once this series gets going, I wonder if a trireme may be in the offering some time in the **ture?

A trireme would get me off the fence on this line. Although given the size and weight (and price!), I wonder if it wouldn't be too big for K&C, and need an outside builder like the guy who built that amazing "San Pablo".

You never know, but this new series could take up where East of India gave up, and make more troops to join the EoI Phalanx Infantry sets.

From the look of it, they are very similar in painting style.

I'm really excited about this new direction, lots of possibilities, lots of colourful figures and many different directions the line could take. Best of all it will likely be dominated by figures and that means affordability!!! {sm3}

Perhaps though I have found that KC figures are a good head taller than EoI. I also believe these figures will be far more colorful.

This collectors club figure looks like a less expensive rehash of the St. Pete offerings. Not sure if I jump into this line yet. If I do, it will be at the cost of the Ancient Egyptians, which I could drop now as I am pretty satisfied with where that collection is at currently. I guess I am in a wait position- just gonna wait this one out and see where it goes.

Same here. The EoI figures are actually smaller than 1/32 and K&C's obviously the opposite of that. They also do not appear very similar in style from that photo and the EoI ones I have, which were nice, just oh so small.:(

gotta admit, they do a bireme, i'm out. Got one docked in the house already, two might get unwieldy.

The cost for a KC bireme would be a salty nut to some extent- figure the Conte Roman War Galley I have cost me $400 plus $65 for s&h, I gotta believe a **lly tricked out KC Greek Bireme would be in the $600 range.

Nope, I'd be happy with foot soldiers and cavalry. If their Saracen camels are any indication, their Persian cavalry would be spectacular.

My first post here guys. I've been lurking for a few months. I am looking forward to th the ancient Greek range too. I have already purchased the CF figure.

Keeping in mind the issues that K&C have repeatedly said they have/are experiencing with doing a Chinese Junk for the USN/USMC & SOHK series (supposedly one of their most popular... and so one would expect one where they could have a reasonable expectation of sales), I doubt that in the current climate a 1/30 scale bireme would be released.

Love the blue. Crapskys! Another line. Is there no end to the injustice? How will I ever get it all?

Think K&C would have to improve their sculpts before attempting this category, if not the figures would end up like the Romans they did a few years back.Collectors are always willing to put out the extra scratch for quality and they'd be up against the top of the line here.{sm2}

chasbo - I didn't collect the K&C Roman series but I'm keen on what looks like a new Ancient Greek line.

Could I please ask what were your problems with the K&C Romans and who is making the "top-of-the-line" that you suggest?
