Guys this set has intriged me as well as being a very nice set I thought it reminded me of a truck I had seen before. I see that some of the ''hope its a real vehicle'' has started but, this picture shows one very similar but, in a different role.

Still yet to track the Kaisers down but, will keep trying. Any WWI buffs know anymore about trucks of the german army in WW1??

I did a search as well as I was interested in finding out more about it. Perhaps Andy can give us some references :)

I don't collect the WWI range, but this is a very cool looking vehicle that really shows the beauty of the King & Country style... the best item in the current dispatches in my opinion.

I think Pete is Kaiser Wilhelm. I ran a search tonight on Google and this is what I get

That is one cool vehicle!! I agree with Kurt, excellent example of K&C style.

It's a little worrying that Andy hasn't replied yet. However, we should give him the benefit of the doubt for a couple of days.

I guess nobody told you that I am a direct descendent of the Kaiser...and I will one day return to my rightful throne!

OK, maybe not...

Finally, the truth is out. Your real name is not Reuss, but Hohenzollern. Yesterday, Germany, tomorrow the toy soldier world! :D

The kaiser's staff vehicle looks as if it has escaped from some Steampunk saga. I suspect its a bit like the WW1 Gertman armoured car that was release a couple of yerars ago - more dramatic license than an actual historical vehicle.

I think this is great trying to track it down and, although I have so far been unsuccesfull I did find that that style of truck was made so, getting closer. I still think though that its a very good release for the WWI series

By style of truck I assume you mean the last photo that you posted in your post. I think that's all fine and good but the armored car which never existed was in the style of armored cars of that time. I hope that the staffcar did exist but I'm beginning to have my doubts.

Hard to imagine that KC would just "make up" another vehicle after the armored car dust up. Artistic license is one thing but to fabricate a vehicle is sort of sci-fi. -- Al

I don't know about the armoured car dust up but, I don't think its wrong to have the interest sparked by a release from K&C as this has. For me, it would be some creativity to make this set up but, although its been fun looking into it so far I still think its a great set regardless of whether its reality or creativity.

I would still buy it either way and although I like things to be right its rather nice every now and then to have something just different like, the armoured car or, the Rammjager

Well, here's the question regarding "reality or creativity" as you put it. K & C slogan is "authentic hand-made history." If there is creativity or artistic license here (and I don't know that there is or isn't), can it really be said that it's either "authentic" or "history." I would think not.

At the very least, if there is artistic license here (or in any other model), then I think that fact should be disclosed to the consumer. Any other company in any industry has to disclose or back up its claims so why not K & C or any other toy soldier manufacturer.

Although it looks to be a very nice model, if it's "creativity," I don't think I'd want it.
