Karl Mörser 54 cm (5 Viewers)

What Figarti have done, and very cleverly here IMO has opened the door to a range which, has endless possibilities and, will lead to an armoured train. After doing the rail gun Karl series was a natural progression and, could you have imagined the comments had they released a rail car and a couple of flak guns as the shock and awe piece??

My decisions about these sets are down to space to get all the releases which, is very tempting and to be able to display it properly (or there is no point in buying IMO) its going to take a large flat surface of 6 feet plus.

Its a great release and the Karl gun is the must have piece for my own collection from Chicago

I see Sierra has the Karl Morser and Carrier listed for 625$ each due to increased shipping cost from Figarti.

Donnie

$226 for shipping? Per piece? Hobby Bunker has them at the listed price. Sounds a bit funny to me...:(

I believe the correct price is $399 per item shipping included....At least that's my understanding from the Hobbybunker...Figarti's US Distributor

Dear All,

I posted this on the thread with the Karl poll. Figarti's suggested retail price (SRP) of $399 for the Karl Morser 54 cm (ETG-030) is listed on our website in the New Releases Section. The SRP for the as yet unlisted Karl Morser Railway Carrier (ETG-032) is $399. Also listed on our website is the SRP for the following sets:

Flatbed Wagon $199
Gondola Wagon $199
Boxcar Wagon $209
Light Flatcar Wagon $179
Track Barrier $119
Water Column $99
Low Goods Wagon $159
Passenger Wagon $199
Extra Tracks $69

Except dealers outside the U.S. and Europe and "Stun and Awe" items, Figarti ships everything directly to its two distributors: Hobby Bunker in U.S. and Grey Goose Collectables in Europe, and they then distribute our products to dealers.

As previously posted, our distributors agreed to a lower margin on 3 of our larger products so we could provide a more affordable price to collectors: Karl Morser 54 cm (ETG-030), Karl Morser Railway Carrier (ETG-032) and the BR 52 Locomotive (ETG-033). All the other Reichsbahn sets are at regular dealer margins.

If you have any questions regarding pricing, please contact your dealer or Figarti's distributors. If there are any specific inquiries, please feel free to email us at sales@figarti.com or send me a PM.

Thank you for your support.

Rick, when you get a chance, can you please post the correct measurements of the Moerser as well as the muni-carrier, please? Like others, I need to calculate space. :)

Thank you in advance.

Guys,

The Karl Morser with its railway carrier is about 30 inches or 76 cm in length.

Thank you for your support.

Rick,

If you could be so kind could you post the lengths of the other wagons as well? Also, if you could give us the length of just the actual Morser, that would be nice as well! Thanks in advance!

From the photos, it looks like the Moser by itself might be almost a foot shorter than the carrier. However, it is a good question. Also, does the 30 inches include the track or is that more.

Was it not said somewhere in the Chicago posts that the morser was 15 inches in length?? I think it was and this size is what I have been told about the stand alone Karl gerat. This seems another case of some guys not knowing their ''inches''lol

What I would like to know from Rick is the rails on the side of the Karl are being replaced with Brass ones will a picture of this version be shown before release??

Mitch, I think the 15 inches were an estimate ...

Andanna....

I don't think Figarti have has issues with scale or, not heard of any but, this would have to be at least the size as the Karls were huge guns so, that length would have to be about right and, if you look at some of the pictures with people next to it you can estimate quite well from them. Its going to be a big set up for sure with or without the rail attachments
Mitch

Suppose it will be Rick giving the exact sizings which will settle it but, would think the rail attachments about 7 inches or just over each and the Karl 15 inches would make 30 inches which in real size would look to be OK scale wise.

Either way its a beast and IMO a must have.

Thanks Jazzeum and Andanna for clarifying for what I thought I read. I guess my fathers money wasn't wasted on a college education after all.

Lets see know if I know my "inches". I have a 53 inch wide display cabinent...so the Locomotive was "estimated" to be around 30 inches and the Morser with Carrier was "estimated" to be around 30 inches. Now my addition comes to around 60 inches I suppose. Will it fit Mitch since you know your "inches"? :)

Yeah, it'll fit no problem, once you've cut a hole in the side of the display cabinet and disguised it as a tunnel entrance. ;)

Not a bad idea Wraith! Once I get the final dimensions I'll bore out a hole in the side of the display cabinet (my wife will love that) and construct some kind of enclosure to capture the rear end of whatever piece that may be! :)

That way I can keep my two street urchins from jerking the train out and using the pieces on their Thomas the Tank Engine table! :) Oh the horror.....

Let us know how the wife negotiation thing works out. :D

I've got to figure out the same urchin problem. Daddy's £1k choo choo is at serious risk of being derailed otherwise.

Funny guy
