It is with real sadness that I let the Imperial Productions collecting family know about the passing of Kay Cowe yesterday morning NZ time after a long and brave battle with a debilitating illness. Kay's 54mm toy soldier painting skills are legendary and she and Dave made a formidable partnership & team in the creation of Imperial's miniature masterpieces. I treasure the delicate kilt detail on the Scottish regiments and that little card with her name on it as the painter of record are favourites in my collection. She has trained generations of younger painters and her legacy goes on in the artistry of her daughter Lisa who continues the Imperial traditions. Rest in Peace Kay - a real "trooper" to the end...

Along with Trophy my favorite glossy figures....sculpted to perfection!

That is indeed sad news. Best thoughts and wishes to the Cowe family.

Very sad to hear. Condolences from a sad imperial collector and admirer.
