Ken Osen's Visit To My Home (1 Viewer)

A beautiful dio Mike, one of the very best on here. Thanks very much to you for sharing your day and your toys :D and thanks to Ken for stopping by.

Congratulations Mike on a truly wonderful set up. Just like Cornwallis (Tom) posted, I too am inspired by your display and hope that my AWI set up can come close to being as good as yours.

I hope you have many hours of enjoyment from it!

Mark

I've just caught up with all this!:cool:

Mike how are you going to sleep tonight? :D

You have now got a fantastic battleground but to have Ken visit as well - it must feel like your Birthday and Christmas all rolled into one!

Looking forward to seeing more photos.

Jeff

So glad you had a great time, Mike. The results are really fantastic; the dio is looking great, and so generous of Ken to come spend some time with you. Glad you both enjoyed it! The photos are looking great. Thanks for including pics of the master craftsman at work; we never get to see that side of it! Most enjoyable!

Great products and scenes. You are lucky. I have spent quite a bit of time talking to Ken, and he is a super Guy. Too bad I no longer live in Madison.

Once again, thank you for all your kind words. Here are five more photos that Ken and I staged featuring the Union forces.

Well that visit by Ken made your summer. I enjoy your table diorama and it is really nice that someone like Ken and Ericka would visit and help with creative ideas. This kind of event is why I like collecting and talking with a great bunch of collectors and artist's like Ken and Erica. Thanks for the photos Mike. You have a great diorama that will give many hours of fun. John

You are welcome John and thank you very much. I have been sitting in front of the computer today reviewing and auditing the photos Ken and I took yesterday - trying to post the best of the bunch. Here are five more:

While Ken was here he showed me five Confederate metal figure conversions that he had done. His plan is to have a number of these ready and available for sale at the Chicago OTSN show in September. As in anything Ken sets out to do, the five examples he showed me were expertly done - one could not tell where the "Chopping & Sawing" had been done and everything was seamlessly re-pinned. Here are photos of the five figures he showed me - he plans to have many more at Chicago.

Another smashing group of photos Mike. I have choosen the last picture as my desktop pic.

. . . . and finally the last six. It was fun having Ken at the house. If I am so fortunate to have him back on Thursday, I will report on our activities in a separate thread.

Thank you gentlemen. Hawkeye, Greg, the backdrop is one that I painted myself with a little tutoring from Ken via email and telephone conversations. I still have a lot to learn though . . .

I was just looking at your backdrop again, Mike...you really got that sfumato effect on your hills. Leonardo would have been proud! :)
