King and Country Glossy (3 Viewers)

Well there are 3 firefighters on the scene with their hand pulled fire cart Brad....whew...that blaze is under control! On with the parade!

I'm sure the fire is not their biggest concern since I know a Saracen castle is less than 10 feet away from the parade....and it’s being attacked! The streets of old Hong Kong will run red with blood!

Must be a slow day out in Chicago, what with the Cubs doing so well and everything   ;)

Anyone ever wonder why they are having a parade and one of their buildings is on fire! Come on guys...pick up a bucket and lend a neighbor a hand already will ya?? :D Least you could do is stop the parade!

Brian,

Its not a parade, its a wedding procession. Have you ever tried to tell a bride on her way to the alter that you are pulling over to help someone and will be late for the wedding? As you are still breathing and able to walk, I doubt it.

The boys will be administering some heavy duty punishment to you in late September for this sacrilege  :D  :D

Here are some figures I picked up last week at Valley Forge. Louis says that the officer in the middle photo is quite rare. I'm having the ones in the top photo touched up.

Thanks KV, finding the Camel Corps, almost as soon as I walked in, made the whole show for me. The other figures were the topping on the cake.

Every now and then nice things happen to people who deserve it. Nice find Brad, the one I like best is the officer with pistol in hand standing over the dead horse and I bet you can't guess why.....The Lt.

As today is the 40th Anniversary of the release of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, I thought I would remind everyone to have a look at the K&C version of Sgt. Pepper's (already displayed in post 33 on this thread).

Here are some more glossy I've received. The first two are for the Lt., Seaforths and some Zulus :)

The next three shots are bands. The first is Gurkhas. This comes from a band of 13. Alas, I only have 3.

Next is a marching soldier and two standard bearers. I already have six of the marching soldiers so this is a welcome addition.

Last are four from the Royal Marines Drum and Bulge Corp. Again, I only have four. The original set has more than 20.

If anybody has any and would like to sell, please let me know :)

I'm supposed to be getting some mounteds early this week:cool: Will post photos when I receive them.

Nice pick up Brad! Those are the very early 1988-1989 Zulus. I just got them at the show after the Symposium, and I was thrilled to pick them up.

Thanks Louis. Unfortunately, they're not mint (missing the spears) but Susan is going to see what she can do with them.

The three standing Zulus came with either a spear, a knobkerrie (club) or a rifle. Check the photos you posted for me of my Zulus and you will see what Susan should be trying to recreate.

Seems slowly but surely your beginning to build your K & C Glossy Collection. Notice that Lt. Seaforths has changed uniforms for this appearance.....The Lt.

The next time I come over, I'll take photos so I can closeups to send to her. No rush.

I got the glossy mounted Teddy Roosevelt with two dismounted marching Rough Riders, the first K&C set I ever purchased, back from my godson (to whom I had loaned it for a history project) safe and sound. Maybe I will take some shots of the early glossy Rough Riders and send them to Brad to post.

Well, it's almost been three months since anyone posted so here are a couple of shots. The first is K & C Elvis, not easily found, and what follows is the rarest of the rare, two French Foreign Legion.
