Hi guys,
Andy and Helen are now in Australia.
Andy has brought with him the painted prototypes of the next releases in the Lighthorse series and a great new building. Details are as follows :
1) Mounted Lighthorse rearing up on black horse with bayonet
2) Mounted Lighthorse firing rifle
3) Lighthorseman "fireman" carry wounded mate.
4) Kneeling firing Lighthorse (no horse)
5) Turkish officer pistol and flag
6) Hand to hand on the ground . Lighthorseman on top of Turk with left hand on his throat and thrusting bayonet down.
7) Turkish artillery 7.7cm with three crew.

and the new building is a 4 sided mosque / Jewish temple that can be either depending on which side at the front. The Jewish temple side is suitable for Life of Jesus series.

Dinner last night was Turkish !

Wayne will hopefully put up K&C images later today and Howard has taken some good pictures of the Charge display with new items which will try to upload tomorrow.

More news to follow.

Regards
Brett

Gentlemen,
The new K&C Lighthorse series figures are awesome. This is going to cost me a pretty penny. Also the new Desert Village building (double sided) is huge compared to the previous releases. It will fit nicely into the Beersheeba township Dio or others. I will return home tomorrow and will post a report from tonights Dinner in which I hope Andy lets out a few secrets to come. Will send all photos to Brad (many thanks in advance mate) to post re Lighthorse and the Dinner.
Cheers from sunny Queensland. Howard

I had the privilege this morning to spend some time with Andy, Brett and Howard; it was great opportunity to chat, thanks lads.

Howard is spot on, the new Light Horse series is fantastic, and will add a great deal of dimension to the existing series. I particularly liked the "hand to hand" piece, they were all gems though. Howard was like a “kid in a candy shop” and I’m sure Brett had to get him to turn out his pockets before he left the shop. Cheers… Alby :D

Would have loved to attend, but Adelaide is along way from Brisbane. Looking forward to any photos, really interested in that building.

Hi Guys,
Just finished the dinner. Just a quick note :
Guess who won the diorama ? Is there no justice in the world (speaking as an ex-cop !!!)
and guess who pulled out his own name in the lucky draw ?
Pics just sent to Wayne (who is probably now asleep).
Howard will post more info tomorrow Oz time.
Going back to hotel now.
Regards
Brett

Wheres the new building????

How many new figures will be released on each side? Any date of release yet?

Brett,

thanks for posting pics of the new troops... they look Great and worthy of both of the opposing forces in this battle !! and please pass on my comments to Helen and Andy.

I'm off to 'storm the beaches' at Gallipoli in the morning.....

This email is written looking over the Sea of Mamara, looking at the seagulls circling the Blue Mosque in Istanbul .....

Regards,
John

That rearing black horse is fantastic .Thanks for sharing the pics.

I wish I could make some room in my budget for these Aussies and Turks they look fantastic. Some very unique figure positions.

I really like the fight to the death scene and the bloke carrying his mate to safety. Cheers Andy, things keep getting better and better.

Incredible!!! I've been waiting for a mounted Lighthorseman firing a Lee-Enfield, and that one looks amazing!!! The Lighthorseman getting ready to make the Turk eat his bayonet is a must have also!!! The kneeling firing Aussie looks good, as does the Turkish officer with the flag. I'm glad to see the WW1 range getting bigger, it really is turning into one of KC's best ranges!!! Now hopefully those 1914 fighting French will be here soon!!!!:D

Great figures, amazing animation!

Very similar standard to the Perry brothers Peter Jackson commission.

Hi Guys,
Back in the shop after taking Andy, Helen and Howard to the airport earlier.
The photos above were provided by K&C.
Howard has taken plenty of pics of the new figures in a diorama with the previous releases and all 7 Desert Village buildings (including the Mosque / Temple, trees, some JG Miniatures rocks and talus and animal set from Life of Jesus series etc. He has good shots of all views of the new building. The new building will be at Chicago with the next LOJ series releases.
Not sure on release date for next batch of Lighthoirse series but will be last quarter of the year. I did mention before 31 OCT (ie. Beersheba Day) would be good !!!
Howard has plenty of pics so with a little bit of help we may get them up later today.
Back to the lucky draw. Simmo / Chris won the diorama base made by Gordon. For this we can blame Andy as he was the one who drew the name out of the bag. When Howard was called upon to draw out a name he pulled out his own name but very quickly put it back into the bag and kindly drew another name out.
King and Country in addition to the diorama had donated 3 vehicles and 7 figure items (WWII sets of 2 and 3 and 3 single Naps) for the draw. The draw was quite incredible. We had 8 ladies with their partners. All the ladies except two won a prize (including all the vehicles) out of the first 10 drawn. Of the other 2 ladies one husband had his name drawn anyway leaving one lady with no luck. That lady was Mrs Kackaroo !!!!
Wayne thanks for putting up the pics and should have some more later.
OzDigger did attend.
Thanks to Howard and Rob for helping with new shop display.
Regards
Brett
