King And Country UK Prices? (1 Viewer)

How come the dollar is like one and a half times the pound, but King and Country UK sell sets of three figures for £97.82....

While kingandcountry.com sells them for $95.00.....

I mean, it just doesn't make sense!:mad::confused::(:eek::(:mad:

Your tired & poor have free health care. Ours die a slow inexpensive death in the gutter.

Nothing is ever free over here, we pay for the NHS in our taxes! I sometimes wonder if the Great in Great Britain now refers to the great number of taxes we have!

Don't feel bad.I just found out my state is going to tax the lottery.Yes the lottery they run, make millions off of and when they pay out it's interest money from all the funds they collect so their really not losing a dime but that is just not enough for the greedy fiends.Oh yeah and their retroing it back to January.

Its been like that in Texas for a while and my dad dealt with it when he was in Georgia. The Man doesnt want the little guy to join his ranks

Oh Boo hoo! :D In Canada we tax taxes. Provincial tax on the city tax, then federal tax on the provincial tax. That's why the politicians don't let us carry guns.

Ohhh, dunno....could be quite profitable for them: Firearms tax, ammunition tax, discharge tax, range tax, hunting tax, automatic weapons tax, registration tax etc, etc. The possibilities are endless. ;)

But we are taken care of if sick and our Lottery isn't taxed either :)

If you can find a doctor and survive long enough to see a specialist and actually get treatment. But that is still way better than health insurance. :)

As for not taxing lottery winnings, big deal. How often do you win the lottery? :D I once tried to get a refund of all of my income tax using the lottery exemption. I told Revenue Canada that I was such a poor employee, I was lucky to have a job so every week my paycheck was like winning the lottery and should be tax exempt. :D:D:D

My claim was disallowed

I always buy my items from Sierra here in California. The prices (although always right) are irrelevant, the fact is they have put up with me for years and their customer service is beyond measure.

I live in the states and my medical needs are taken care of by........oh wait, I can't remember his name.....ummmmmmmm...oh yes I remember, it is the guy who should be responsible for it..........ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But you are fortunate to earn enough to take care of it.

That would be great if I lived in San Francisco, LOL, but I don't. Also my health care cost way more than $2400 a year, which is what the article says it would cost annually per person. (My health care budget rivals my toy soldier budget LOL) Besides San Francisco probably also has a safety net for people who lose their house to foreclosure. My guess is they make the Four Seasons give away rooms because people who make bad financial decisions should be rewarded and they need a roof over their head too!!!!!!!!

BTW Blowtorch, I love the Family Guy Darth Vader icon!!!! It is one of my all time favorites....

Wait, SF has a safety net? Where? What color is it? Who is it for? How come I don't have one. I never get the good stuff:mad: I am going to hold my breath until someone gives me a safety net............................................................................................................................................................................................................(gasp)...................................................................................................................................................(whew!!) I.....mean......it.............

i really do not believe the K & C line when you look at prices. Look at the high increases of figures, when the battle of Bulge figures were released no more than 4 years ago they were under £80 for four figures, now the new D-Day figures are very close to £98 for THREE figures.

The price of single figures has gone up also by a massive amount over theast three years.

the price rises are taking K & C out of my range. will now be just consolidating my collection, plus buying from the US.
