I don't know, you give them lifelike dioramas, helicopters etc and all they want are surfboards!:rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

Well I checked the archive - took 1 sec - I'm right out of toy soldier surboard pics ..... shock horror. So what are you going to do about that then?

Do you have any monster cat on surfboard pics you could lend me?

I'll check back with my BOB photos and let you know if I've got any boards spare.

Come on Guys,
Enough with the chit chat and lets get down to releasing a new volume full of the AK and EA sets.
You blokes will just have to get your priorities right.^&grin^&grin No more drinking and good food, just some hard work. I think I will have to have some serious words to young Louis in Chicago.:smile2:
Cheers Howard

My job on the desert book was done a couple of years ago. I wrote the text, and helped stage all the desert sets for Kevin to photograph. Kevin had the sniffles or something ^&grin, so has been sitting on his hands for the last couple of years, keeping us all in suspense. I'm sure he'll get the desert volume out sooner or later.

I'll tell you one thing, the desert photos are far and away my favorite of all the photos Kevin has taken. ^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool We had brilliant midsummer sunshine for the photoshoot, and we set out all my K&C desert dioramas in depth, and ended up with photos so realistic it was scary. The only ones in the same league were te early morning matt Civil War photos taken with the fog off my neighbor's pond giving the most realistic "fog of battle" atmosphere you could imagine.:wink2:

Louis and Kevin,
Just previewed the books on the Blurb website and placed an order for Volumes 2, 4 and 8. They look great and will compliment Volumes 1 & 3 on my Library shelf.
Cheers Howard

Congratulations on getting the Warbirds book out. I look forward to seeing it in Chicago.

Relax. Its time for you to give up. You have been 'out Britished' in your 'British humour' by a Brit.

I know you know all that stuff and I know you were having a matey pop at Louis, but mates stick up for each other, even for Louis:wink2: and I would for you^&grin.

I just raised your deadpan by a more deadpan.

However - you are on for fish and chips chinese style at the finest such restaurant in New York, with wine if you prefer.{bravo}}

I would love to send you some proper beer, but think it is a problem to get it into the US, so you all need to come over (again) sometime soon.

Lawrence,

You are nowhere near 'poor attempts at humour'. In order to get a feel for humour at it's poorest, please refer to any of Kevin's posts for inspiration. :)

Simon

Kevin,

What a relief. Thought I had crossed the line, but got outwitted - once again {eek3} Will have to hire Clive to "visit" you after he finishes providing protection for Louis during the Chicago show. ^&grin

Simon,

I will have to take you up on your wise counsel ^&grin

I have a confession to make! {eek3} I found some warbird photos from your collection I had missed for the book - perhaps not surprising all considered but ^&confuse:eek:

Help!!! I had practically finished some books back in 2009 when I had some problems my end.

I still need two sets photographed to complete the K&C early WW2 sets to 2009 edition. Please can someone help me by sending me photos of two sets

FOB043 Polizei ADGZ Armoured Car

FOB044 Polizei in Action

If they could be high quality and preferrably in diorama settings I could include them in the book with full acknowledgement. I am too late for the NY symposium but would like to get it out for Chicago. If you can help please pm me.

Toy Soldier Picture Books Volume 9 - Victoria's Army part 2 is available - 238 pages of photos showing circa 300 photos from a 2007 photoshoot.

A free iPrview for downloading onto i thingies is also available - 40 pages of tasters from different theatres and eras.

A Streets of HK photobook, no text, is in the works.

The nearly completed earlier text volumes like 1-4 - eg Vol 6 K&C Early war are no further on due to some problems my end. I will try to get some help with them.
