KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- April 2016 (4 Viewers)

Hi King & Country......

No desert fortifications again.......:confused::confused::confused:

Time and again various members of the forum....your direct customers.......show how versitile this line would be!! Mentioning that it covers many periods from the Romans and Egyptians, Nativity...Crusades, Napoleonic Wars in Egypt, British expansion into the Middle East ( going from Sudan - Khartum to the WW1.... ), French Foreign Legion, WW2 and the cat and the bag in between....
Not sure if you have a sequence of diorama props that have the same dollar value retail price that covers so diverse period relegated to obscurity by a marketing dept like this.....Have heard year over year on promised new releases of fortifications strait walls, corner walls with or without incorporated corner towers, especially corner walls, given that this item was not contemplated in the original offering and is a dealry missed prop, after all one needs a corner do provide more than one angle to a dio, or you are relegated to only one flat angle or come up with improvisations ( see pictures ) .......but nothing.....{sm2}:rolleyes2:
The last very shy attempt to address this were some walls....village walls..with no connection to the actual fortifications......
Really upset....
Cheers

Not much for me this month, except for the table, which will be useful for my French hussars display.

Cheers,

Brendan

I agree Luiz, a new desert piece would be welcome. Among the 'returns' a re-release of the wall would be great!

something different and pretty neat looking, the detail in the main gun looks very well done...Sammy

Costume Note : All four of the Sheriff’s men wear “surcoats” in the colour and style adapted from the 1952 “Robin Hood” film starring Richard Todd.. (the first Robin Hood movie I can remember seeing and enjoying as a kid!)

Based upon your 'movie' comment...Wouldn't it be wonderful if your Maid Marian resembled "Joan Rice".

Great to see this series continue - Thank you !

I agree....I also asked about these additions several years ago. Such great potential for so many historical periods. Would also like to see more buildings for the European theatre, both 20th century and earlier. Some great looking buildings in their Collector's magazines shown with ECW sets.

...I like the re-boots! Bringing back items like the Jetty and the table and chairs hopefully leads to some others like sandbag walls and Quonset huts. Also liking the variation on "Fresh Milk..."

Finally, new FJ's...simply awesome!

I believe these will sell like hotcakes Brendan, you better grab two.^&grin

I will probably get the FW190 first. Waiting to hear more details about the Collectors' Club though.

Rgds,Chris

Bit of a shame to see the wee Flak Panzer & crew being retired, I've still got that on my wish list. It's a really nice piece!

Maybe Andy might bring out a camo version Toddy. I agree it's a nice set.

Great catching up with you in Hobbit land mate.

Tell me about the Rabbits, I mean Hobbits, Tom.
Didn't see any rabbits or Hobbits Matt but plenty of another 2 legged species...

The flora, mountains and weather was also pretty awesome. Toddy definitely lives in utopia.

I like the idea of a Camo one Tom, but not sure if Andy has any plans to release one anytime soon?

Great seeing ya too mate, only wish it had been longer! Thank you and Brett heaps for me prissy too, plus the Johnny Red which I'll be cracking open today to celebrate the big 50. Bottom's up and don't blame me if you sudden sprout hair all over ya feet in the next few days.{eek3}^&grin

I've heard good things about the scenery and hope to get there this year. And being a Lord of the Rings tragic myself, Hobbits etc will only add to the enjoyment. I'm also an ex-hunter and a bit of a gun nut and enjoy watching the TV series 'Hunting Aoteroa'. It's not a show for everyone as it's a bit gory, but you do see a lot of New Zealand scenery, as well as the dead animals.

I think the hair is already sprouting mate, what with all the Hobbit tours I went on! Happy 50th and your welcome on the pressys. I expect to see a pic of the empty Johnny Red bottle mate! Thanks also for the gifts and being a great tourist guide, I reckon it's your next calling if you give the beat away.

Toddy has sworn me to secretly now Matt so all I'll say is that you won't be disappointed.

I'm not a LOR tragic but I really enjoyed the films. I did the Hobbit tours on both the north and south islands and they were both great. I saw and took photos of heaps of hobbit holes at Hobbiton on the north island.

Have to cut this message short as my plane back home is leaving shortly. PM me if you want some info on the tours.

Tom
