KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- August 2014 (1 Viewer)

Well done Andy and team.

An excellant set of releases this month. Especially loving the Fighter Boys.

Two thoughts spring to mind shouldn't somebody be tapping up the cricket club windows and where are all the sargeant pilots. RAF Halton sent many apprentice technitions on to flight training and a significant number of NCO's flew for the RAF form the 1930's up until the early 70's. The Army Air Corps still have NCO pilots.

Should we be seeing a few strips on theose sleaves?

Regards one and all

Glynn

Sorry Andy

Just looked more closely and found the pilot sergeant having a well earned rest!

These crusaders seem to be different in style to what's been done before?

Just wonderful. The WW II collectors must be going crazy with this months releases. Everyone must be running to their banks. Thanks Andy for this months releases.

I recall K&C has released a few sergeant pilots in 1st and 2nd badge of RAF products. I am particularly hoping for an intelligent officer made similar to 'Skull' Skelton of Hornet squadron in the TV series "Piece of Cake," a white peak cap RAF police and a WAAF dispatch rider.

Well I picked a good month to return!:smile2: The RAF releases are so good, all of them, my squadron is about to get bigger! The Cricket Pavillion is going to be a multi base for RAF/Home Guard/ARP etc. I echo Captain Grey in that that little Grey German AFV is so cool looking, was this still in use in 44 does anyone know?

No retirements either !:salute::

Excellent Dispatch,thanks Andy:salute::

SP060 “Deux Maisons”
A tall four-storey structure attached to a three-storey shop/house with a “Viennoiserie”…a typical French shop selling croissants, pastries and bread. Sounds good already!

AVAILABLE: Mid to Late August[/QUOTE]

They write " Viennoiseries" with "s", plural.:wink2:

Not fair Andy......with an ever increasing effort, I've just been managing to resist the urge to collect the 'Grey' stuff, but then you go and produce that very cool flak-gun AV and now the little soldier/girl set....there goes my budget again.{sm4}

Andy you are hitting where it hurts. Back to my core collection Ancient Egypt 2007. Thank goodness no Market Garden. After that Flak Grey tank and French building. My Home Guard have been waiting to visit the local cricket club. This is adding up again for one expensive month. LOA figures will have to be included, is there nothing I do not collect. Excellent work Andy. Robin.

As you have a varied collection Robin, I'm sure this will be costly {eek3}

PzKpfw38t & Flak Panzer 1A along with the Flak Panzer Gun Crew are now on my to get list, great set of releases.

What a great set of releases. Apparently the hobby seems set to survive at least another month!

The Flak Panzer I looks superb - congrats to K & C for doing somethig really different. Nice to see the 38T in later war camo. Any chance of a grey "winter" version? Not so sure about the soldier with the little girl though - seems more sinister than re-assuring.

Do we assume those Ancient Egypt facades are about the same height as the palace facade from yrs ago? I am so screwed with this release!

I only own a couple of facades, hangar-fronts actually. But, how can an aviation enthusiast not be stirred by the men, metal and events associated with the Battle of Britain? I'm certainly glad that the epochal months of 1940 continue to draw the attention and support of collector and manufacturer alike. Now, I need to find myself a nice, green MG to park outside "the club."
