KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- December 2019 (1 Viewer)

Thanks Wayne for "capturing" that image from the video.

Can anybody who was at the show let us know who the couple are at front left of image ? Napoleonic or perhaps a bit later in 1800's.

Hi Brett,
The ‘couple’ you mentioned are part ‘World of Dickens’...The young Victoria and her groom Prince Albert on their Wedding Day.
Best wishes, on the way back to HK.
Andy.

Hi Steve,
Among the many items on display at the London Show last Saturday were:
1x set of four Anzac SAS and...
2nd. Set of four ‘Long Tan’ soldiers in action.
Plus all our new fighting Israelis!
re the Roman Generals and Emperors...more info when I get back to HK.
all the best,
Andy.

Hi Andy,

Do you know when we can buy these awesome Roman Generals and Emperors ?

Thank you and welcome back to HK !

Well, I got the new Jagdpanzer IV shown in the December Dispatch and while the paint job and weathering are great, I’m disappointed to see that K&C forgot to add the driver’s vision ports on the front glacis of the model! Those are a prominent-enough feature on the Jagdpanzer IV that it seems difficult to believe they were overlooked. Looking closely at the promo pics, it’s clear the vision ports were missing on that model as well, so I should have known better going in... It is all the more curious of an omission as the previous K&C Jagdpanzer IV/L48 (BBG021) had the vision ports. I’m fashioning a replacement, but I would have expected better from K&C, especially on a $300 model.

I noticed this also when it was shown in the dispatch. And wondered why it would be missing on the model. But I had no plans on purchasing it anyway.

I've seen some nit picking with new products before, but this one's a serious flaw! Maybe Andy can offer an explanation?

These aren’t the greatest pics, but this was the fix I came up with on the Jagdpanzer for the missing vision blocks...

Before:

After:

I just cut a triangular section from some balsa wood scrap that was then sanded, painted, and weathered to closely match K&C’s paint job. It looks the part and looks close enough to what was on the older BBG021 Jagdpanzer model. Still not sure how they missed that feature on this model, however!

Excellent work tman.

If the vision block was on the previous model but forgotten on this one, I wonder if there is a box of unused vision blocks in the warehouse?

I am also unsure whether the vehicle actually fought in the battle in this format/layout, the videos/pictures of the Jagdpanzer IV i have seen were the L70 long barrel [no muzzle Brake] version and not whitened.

Nice vehicle and i have the camo version, but give this one a miss.
