KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- January 2019 (1 Viewer)

Nothing in particular for me this month but that's alright. I'll keep adding to the ranks of the 95th Rifles in the meantime.

TRW152 “Corporal Lying Firing Carbine”
This Cavalry NCO hugs the ground to make the smallest target for the Sioux and Cheyenne marksmen... Unfortunately no firing position is completely safe from Indian arrows fired up and down on top of the soldiers defences.
Excellent idea to have appointed corporal this soldier :

Hope this horseman

Honestly, the afrika korps colours, green jackets and clear khaki pants, still look like coming from 2 different uniforms(no improvement over the time)..A schematic vision, good for the 70ies "Britains detail" costing 3 euros.Indeed, the differences in shades of green, brown and khaki colors were very nuanced.

Your post is somewhat confusing, but I think I've got the gist of it.

I understand you don't like the colour scheme of these latest AK's, but comparing them to 'Britains deetail' plastic painted figures from the 70s is more than a little harsh and no doubt designed to attract a negative response.

Can I suggest you back up your comments with some evidence, (some photographs perhaps) rather than a couple of lines slating the product?

Over to you.

What photos do you want? On the internet you can find tons of AK soldiers and toysoldiers photos; we all have eyes to see if the original thing looks close or far from the toy version of it. I don't think I am colorblind and I see a hugh difference with the real Ak soldiers. Maybe you and other people see this release like the real ones,so you ll buy them; or you are a seller or you have a business in toysoldiers, in this case you are biased...I can say that for my AK diorama, I repainted the green jackets to make them more realistic. You can see below the repaints and other AK brands colour schemes.

I'm not accusing you of being colour blind or anything of that nature, however I felt your criticism of these latest AKs particularly harsh. As it is all you've posted is several photographs of painted models, which are based upon the painters idea of what they consider normal uniform colours.

What I would have preferred is the rare colour photographs of actual AK uniforms backing up you criticisms.

You also failed to mention the sandbag concept and the release of the half figures.

As far as I'm aware, no other TS manufacturer is doing this?

Its easy to sit on the side lines and bag a product. The colour scheme might not be exactly what you'd like, but hey at least K&C are making the effort.

Cheers Toddy
