King & Country in Singapore 2015 (1 Viewer)

It looks like the 12 pounder to me. I'll be adding this gun to my Grande Batterie soon! The Pike n' Musket figures are also quite nice.
Cheers,
Brendan

I really like the new US and German soldiers.

Do you think we'll ever see this bunker released on the market?

Hi,

Only Andy to answer to that question...lol Even so the bunker gives a lot is possibilities to create a variety of scenarios...

Thanks Chris, a great way to start the morning. After those Japanese, pike & musket & Life of Jesus. Bring them on. Robin.

Personality Figures

Love seeing Sgt. Rock and Sgt. Saunders. That is something I have been wanting to see in plastic for years. Eventhough I don't collect metal, I might have to get those two. Any info what those two would cost?

Bunker under construction and already been shot ?

Looks like the mounted "Roundhead" officer is another release exclusively available from King & Country direct only.
There's an X behind the number.

Did not see the 'X', not a sign the dealers will want to see. Robin.

Nice bunch of snippets, thanks for posting Chris. The M36 Tank Destroyer is definitely on my list along with the US figures and Jerries. It looks like Sgt Rock will be released at a later stage as he is not on the November releases list.

Thanks for the images and for the preview of DISPATCHES Chris, I hope that you all had a great time yesterday, at the luncheon.

Andy mentioned to me about the new NAP Arty coming soon when we met in July, and I'm so glad that they are released as separate pieces, not a boxed gun and detachment, so that we can build a variety of posed for the gun line.

Do you have any details from the talk ????

John

So ,will we get the rest of Sgt. Rock's Easy Company or Sgt. Saunders squad? ^&confuseMichael

Hi John

Glad you like the new French gun and crew .. now I am wondering how many more guns should I need to add to the 2 guns and 2 howitzers that's in my grand battery {sm2} I also like the new 57mm AT gun soon to be released. Something that came yesterday ... Was that German 88 was not on K&C's hot things to do. Perhaps Andy can be persuaded to give us a new version of the more compact 50mm PAK38 {sm0}.

Not unusually, there were no firm favourites as to what K&C can do for the future. Maybe Andy will just give collectors more of what we already have and love.

Wish you and the lads were here ... Would have made a greater party out of it. {sm4}

Hi OD, I was looking forward to meeting you but alas, I think we were all busy with our passions. I was also looking out for Tim (DM101).

I will just put out brief notes and the other attendees can add on

Probables
- one new American plane. Did I hear Corsair?
- two more Zeroes (one army and one camo navy)
- battle of Malaya
- Vietnam war non jungle
- streets of Singapore or Straits Settlement
- FOB to have Poles
- period after Dickens?

Unlikely
- 88
- civil war or was it AR?
- ww1 planes
- Korean War

Hi Chris,
great to meet you yesterday .

I also wanted to say thanks to Andy, Helen and the team for creating such a pleasant event
and sharing so much insight with us on how their industry functions and how they make some of their creative choices .

my notes , just to adjust yours a little :-

1. more Japanese ww2 coming including the 2 zeros, 1 in classic green and 1 in camouflage , plus ground crew / guards. the Navy zero has been an outstanding seller.

2. Andy was thinking about a modern war , and Vietnam or Arab- Israeli were contenders. urban likely if Vietnam.

3. no plans for ACW, Vikings or zulu .

4. I think it was a corsair for allies in Asia. comment made that the plans served with US and RAF so it's adaptable.

5. Ww2 poles was raised from the floor and Andy's comment was that it would be compatible with other FOB sets, although it seemed to stop short at "probable" at this stage. lots of FOB in the works in general.

6. ww2 in SEA: Malaya / fall of Singapore a contender because of size of conflict. fall of Hong Kong and Philippines too small.

7. streets of London 1860-1900 coming and in the works ; streets of Singapore or a generic " Chinatown" , could happen.

thanks to all. I enjoyed the event .

would be great with the Japanese on bicycles, a Ha-Go and Chi-Ha tank (the older Chi-Ha tank from K&C is always very hard to get on eBay for a fair price :mad:)

But sales wise it would not sell well I think - like the Fall of Singapore sets {sm2}

There is an anime Girls Und Panzer which plastic figures and tanks do sell well I noticed. Maybe K&C like to do a market study on the possibility perhaps - buyers would be younger so need to consider the $ {sm4}

Very good the muddy boots.....But, why so clean helmets??{sm2} If the soldiers are in the mud, I think it is hard that the helmets stay perfectly clean!
Also, tons of german and american soldiers come out every month, with more or less the same poses. And still no civilians at all ; normal civilians reading a newspaper, smoking, walking, talking. I don' t mean refugees nor civilians saluting a parade...
