King & Country -- January Dispatches (1 Viewer)

Just finished watching the great escape on cable this afternoon and thought if only there were figures i could do a dio.

Matt

Great Escape a must for me. What a range this could be! But will they finally make the escape? I'm feeling a certain American trying to outwit his captors on a Triumph T60 in the pipeline.

Looks like another series I really have to get into.

Like Norman, I watched the movie twice this week and wondered if there were any chance that K&C might venture into this "somewhat" untouched area of a prison camp. Imagine a dio that would show Danny "Tunne King" (Bronson) on hands and knees in an under the ground tunnel or on that rolling cart. I don't ever seeing diorama that shows figures "UNDER" the ground. ?? :rolleyes2: ??

I hope this is a harbinger of things to come {sm3} ... and not a one-off .....Andy?????

Waiting for more Japanese Sailors and aircraft carrier deck equipment .... hint, hint, hint!!!

Happy New Year,

HILTS!!!! ....Cooler!

...Looking forward to more of this range; there are plenty more personalities from the movie to do! Bogie is another that I'll pick up; I watched "Sahara" often as a little guy... to look back now, it was soooo historically inaccurate. The Panzer II is also a must-get!

Agreed 'Sahara' is a classic like so many others of that vintage and it's great seeing Andy looking again at creating more personalities. The Panzer II looks top notch as do the new AK figures and desert village building.

If I were to advise Andy on this, I would have done two others with "Big X" (Ashley-Pitt or Sedgwick for example), done Hilts on his motorcycle, Hendley and Blythe as a pair as well as Danny and Willie "the Tunnel Kings" as another pair.

Excellent 'Great Escape' figures with an uncanny likeness to McQueen. Hope to see his figure jumping a fence on a bike one day....

Don't understand the demand for Hitler figures. These latest figures are almost comedic. What next? Hitler's first day at school?

I'm very interested in the Bogart figure, but just hope he does not look so jaundiced in real life as in this picture.

Looking forward to those promised Folgore Andy........

I believe Hitlers school days were done on the AHC channel ,,or as I told my present wife,,"The All Hitler Channel,,"

Love the direction K&C is going (or one of the directions), representing movie's characters! There were a lot of figures inspired by movies in the past but i think this will open a lot of possibilities for collectors!!! For me a dream would be seeing made the characters of the movie "The best of enemies " with David Niven and Alberto Sordi playing a british and italian officer in a great comedy about the war in the eastern Africa. Or another favourite of mine , the beautiful "The life and death of Colonel Blimp" (in one of the picture also a great character actor , John Laurie, himself already portrayed by K&C , guess where...;)). I'm sure Andy will take my suggestion..:)

I was anticipating Hogan's Heroes after seeing the Blackadder figs... could see Andy maybe doing a couple of "Rat Patrol" jeeps (he has an affinity for jeeps).

I too would like to see a German grey Panzer II version to go along with the recent German grey releases.
