King & Country Room - Chicago 2017 (1 Viewer)

Any word on what unit the new US figures represent?

M43s so something late war - 44 onwards? They may be able to be used in a US paratrooper during Market Garden type scenario!

My vote would be the 4th infantry division. CLover leaf. The main body at Utah Beach!

I like that mate!

Only thing is I wish they were in m41s as then they could be used on a Utah or Dday+ early setting as I did a little digging and apparently the m43s were not issued in the ETO until much later. The 82nd and 101st airborne wete issued them upon returning to England for rearming/re-equipping. Apparently Bradley did not like the design of the jacket. They were also issued to forces involved in the Anzio landing prior to the landing as experimental uniform.

That being said some officers managed to accquire them pre June 6th.

Brad, thanks for sharing your pics. :salute:: Appreciate doing this for "the folks back home." Chris

Sorry, forgot to post this one. This dio -- if I remember correctly -- was not in Andy's room but only at the Show. I was very impressed with the pilots, actually the whole scene.

Agree, I am caught up in the Tarawa onslaught of releases. The imagination is running wild. The diorama sets the scene for this series so well. Well done Andy. Robin.

Andy didn't say, I believe. The only thing I know is that it's made of wood.

Harrie,

Thanks very much and sorry for the delay in responding.

It is a beauty and perhaps it's made in the Philippines where all the warbirds are made???

Hi Guys,
The 'Fishing Boat' in the 'Dunkerque' diorama was made by the same company in China that produced the wooden Tank Landing Craft that we released several years ago...We modified it greatly by converting it from a 'full hull' model to a 'waterline' version and giving it a 'weathered' appearance and adding a lot of extra bit'n'bobs here and there.
It was certainly one of the major 'Show-Stealers' in Chicago!
Best wishes and greetings from San Antonio, Texas,
Andy.

Hey Andy I just got another one of those LCMs. They are really good but I understand that they were not quite up to the K&C standard.

So with that I mind can we have another one Andy?^&grin:wink2:

Anything created by King & Country far surpasses the globs of lead toy soldiers I bought as a kid. Andy is very meticulous in his sculpturing and painting. In the last twelve years I have seen King & Country consistently produce better miniatures. Andy is also always open to suggestions to improve anything he produces. He also receptive to suggestions for new lines of miniatures. One description of Andy in regard to this great hobby is "dedicated".
