Just to throw this out there for some feed back. With the recent sold out release of 100 Figarti Stukas and JJD just announcing their plans to terminate further
production plans of their version of a Stuka, would now or in the near future be a good time for K&C to come out with their own version of this legendary fabled
aircraft. To me the answer is a definite "YES". K&C could fill the void that current collector demand has not been reached yet, In My Opinion of course.
What do you think ????? Cheers.

Wayne mate,
I concur. To me the Stuka has always been the top of the German Air Force as was the Tiger the tank of the German Army.
I would be up for two Desert versions and maybe a late war Tank Buster. I am sure the boys at the Brisbane K&C Dinner in July will be asking the question of Andy.^&grin I am sure Wayne from Perth will be for sure.
Cheers Howard

Greetings Howard, I will ask Andy in San Antonio at the Toy Soldier Show end of May for any input on this one. I know from the past there were some durability and design issues concerning the wings in the past, but as to the current status it is unknown. ^&confuse

According to what Bill Sager has on his web site, they appear to be making a wooden one again but that's outside the price range of most of us.

I doubt they will make it if it has any risk of breakage on shipping or the wings have to be attached and require a precise fit - polystone shrinks slightly on manufacture. I just don't see K&C risking their number one reputation on a single model.

If that is the case it would be too bad....:redface2:

Think your right Terry.

Hope not im over the STUKA this and STUKA that..................................^&grin

Of course its a YES if anyone can Andy can,the challenge is there for K&C to do what the rest seem to be struggling with !! :wink2: ^&grin :wink2: ^&grin

Mate you really need to speak up, you're just too subtle at times.......{sm4}:wink2:

Think I agree with Terry. if it could have been done using the mediums K&C use it would have been done. Andy answered many times recently about large aircraft and polystone that its not a possibility and, the stuka looks the same.

I would expect a different colourway from Figarti sooner rather than later with JJD's now cancelling theirs though I am not surprised its been shelved.

I think this is correct. If the Stuka could have been done in KC's preferred materials, it would have been done by now. -- Al

I imagine they have looked at other materials as well (e.g., Andy's comment to Pancer Ace awhile ago) so I would probably give them the benefit of the doubt on this.

I certainly hope they are seriously considering the usage of other materials so that a "normal production" K&C Stuka becomes feasible (the wooden warbirds are in another category). I have no doubts regarding the demand for such a plane in all versions it can be produced.

Think it would be fair to say that the Stuka is a very elusive aircraft to come by in 1/30 scale. ^&cool If it can or will be done by K&C it is better to wait for a quality product
versus one that may have future issues. Removeable wings to be attached once the collector receives the plane to me would be quite fine, due to the size of the wingspan.
Maybe inserts (polyeurathane, rubber, etc) placed in the fuselage to better secure the wing tabs once inserted so they would not easily slide out. This would allow for the bird to be
done in polystone. I am not trying to meddle in K&C's business at all, just retaining the possibility factor....

not a fan of the insert wings method or, in fact any of these imported features like opening and closing hatches etc. one of the reasons why I did not go for the figarti stuka. I would hope that if K&C culd do one that it will have fixed wings.

I have no trouble with removable wings but it needs to be a tight fit and the Figarti wings were not, which is one of the reasons I sold the plane. Not being an expert in polystone like the manufacturers are I don't know if polystone lends itself to that.

I would think not. Remember the few original polystone tanks that had separate gun barrels that came with putty to hold it in place. Or that even today, the gun barrels on some models don't stay elevated very well.

its interesting that three main manufacturers cannot crack this issue in mixed mediums whilst other manufacturers using other mediums like metal have had stuka's on the market in various scales for many years with no problem. I don't see one being done in polystone and, can't really see K&C changing mediums for one aircraft. If they did and did them cheaper than the existing polystone ones people would ask well why not do them all in metal all the time if they can be cheaper.

It does seem that Figarti have had issues and, brad mentioned the wings two others have mentioned to me a loose fitting wing feature on the aircraft and, rumours are abound that this is the reasons for the delay for the rudel. sounds like a headach JJD did not want so, I cannot imagine K&C jumping in now and taking it on
Mitch

All im reading is Doom and Gloom ^&grin it would be a boring life we live without a "Challenge" so im still hoping K&C being a larger company than JJD can crack this one,ive never met the man but he doesn't sound like a quitter to me (Andy i mean).
So until i read/hear from the Man himself i live in hope, but for now im happy Figarti have made one with clip in wings a wooden one is beyond my finances and i/we have the Dora to look forward to.

I will try to ask Andy for some info on this bird at the Texas Show.
