King&Country Waffen SS / Luftwaffe Volkswagon releases: Word to the wise ! (1 Viewer)

I was kinda thinking the same thing
Mitch

Funny how somethings don't change on this forum and simple question about pruduct sell get into I know better than you thead ,make for a boring forum I'm sorry to say .I'm move interested in the history of the item than if k&C only make 250 models

But Neil, the thread was started by someone just giving us a heads up about the 250 range! ^&grin:wink2:

I think it's reasonable to have dealers coming onto such a thread to say if the product is selling or not, we can say what we think but the dealers are on the front line as it were.

Rob
Rob, This is the best summation of events I have heard today ! "BRAVO" I only posted this thread because to the best of my knowledge the information being put out was accurate and as this being a forum for discussion thought maybe it wouldn't hurt to share. The dealer that came on here only reinforced my statements. Shannon from Treefrog if you are listening maybe you could shed some light on this topic from your perspective ?

Firstly, My comments were not aimed at your post like I said to you the last time. secondly, K&C have just announced that sets will be made in much lower numbers. I do remember K&C saying the most they ever sold wa 2000 of the wittmans tiger 1 so, everything else from the comment from those who know more than you or I ever will means that most sell below that. I know some have sold considerably less some better.

So as we move forward with K&C then sets will become more limited and, as I said in my post aircraft are in limited runs there is other sets such as the police AFV and skorzeny's command car et al the usual SL, there are now slipping through limited dealer sets such as the recent ambulance in mickey mouse pattern and, the 250 series.

Now, again, people with more intelligence than you or I commented on a number of issues but, one that was debated very much was the limited numbers of sets which, had underneath their discription planned production of. This may mean that K&C can do more should they wish and, its been on a lot of previous releases.

I have not seen any written paraphenalia from K&C that states the 250 series is set in stone I hope they are but, its not legally binding and, as I have mentioned, this phrase is, somewhat a get out of jail type card.

I am more than willing to debate these issues or any other with you in a civil manner but your tone always comes over as somewhat superior. It would be better to debate and inform more collectors than taking cheap shots which, I have taken your response to be.

There are lots of new collectors who would probably benefit from these things being explained civily and, again, we have been moved from the original intention of the thread
Mitch

"Mitch said".............Its certainly not rocket science that a lower run will sell more quickly than a large run but, I am glad we have been so well informed about the series.

My pleasure to keep you informed.

"Mitch also said"........I don't know what the big issue is about the 250 range as most of whats coming from K&C is limited in number and with the recent announcement about lower runs even the stuff thats not given the official title of limited is really limited.

Sorry, you are wrong there Mitch, reason being is "most" of what's coming from K & C is in fact not limited.

Key word there being "most".

Also, lower runs now do not in any way, shape or form mean more will not be made going forward, but an SL or 250 series are made in exact quantities and once they are sold out, that's that.

So for example if the initial run on the upcoming Priest is say 600 and they sell out, K & C will then go back and run more if they feel the need, whereas an SL or 250 series is etched in stone as to how many are made.

Big difference.

I think you did a good thing PA, you were indeed just trying to share your experience with others. If people want to say they don't ' panic buy' that's their right as is the right for others to say they do. Personally I think with great respect to him Neil over reacted a bit, but I understand it's not always easy to pick up on people's motives on a forum.

Mitch,

Can I ask who your comments were aimed at?

Yth

Rob

problem is Rob on this forum you can't say what you want, anything bad said about k&C or FL and your picked on for being a trouble maker

Rob...

Comments aimed at nobody just an opinion on the thread and how it was panning out unless, specifically addressed at a certain person.

Once again it seems things are taken for more than they were some very tetchy persons on here.

This is three times in a very short space of time when the same person believes I am responding to them. I think everyone knows now I say what I think and not afraid to respond to someone when necessary

But Neil, honestly, lookt this thread, nothing like that has happened??? You havn't been picked on, show me where you were picked on because I cannot see it????. I didn't think you were having a go at all, some thought panic buying is wrong and others think items are selling quickly. Again with respect I suggest you are reacting to a perceived bullying or shouting down that really didn't happen.

Rob

That's perfectly fair Mitch. It did sound sarcastic to me and aimed at one person but if someone has a problem I find it much better to front it up and sort it out. But each to their own . I do honestly think Neil and perhaps yourself have over reacted a little here as I've seen no shouting down etc just differing opinions.

Neil, believe me , if you think this is bad, there are others that are totally the other way, I went on one today that I think you frequent. Almost everybody on there hates K&C and constantly puts them down, that is of course absolutely their right to do so and I have friends on there, but I don't post anymore because it's got so anti it makes this place seem like a women's institute jam making session!

There a lot of forum like that Rob & if I told you what the people down my mate model club said about the K&C Me 262 I would be kicked of the forum:redface2: but that there opinion . On a positive note got a love parcel coming from K&C next week & looking forward to you posting photos of K&C dispatches to , hoping were see the Hawker Typhoon in the near future:smile2:

Since I started this thread can we just call this one quits and see what turns out with the 250 series release of the VW's ? I think one month from now it may be interesting to reflect back and see what the availability of these releases ends up being at that time.
:smile2:Happy collecting to All of this very interesting hobby ! :smile2:

Criminy! I go out for a little while and things seem to have taken a turn. I thought we were having a nice little discussion here about whether to order now or just wait. Just a difference of opinion.

Apologies if the term "panic buying" caused the uproar. It seems nothing can be discussed nowadays without someone taking umbrage when there is no need to do that.

Well said and I appreciate the thought behind your original thread. I personally think the VW's will be around longer than the Bowser myself, but who knows!

Rob

Exactly Brad, it was a difference of opinion about preordering or not preordering, the term panic buying is fine but as I said there's really no panic involved as you either hit the order button or you don't ^&grin. It's always good to get a dealers view too as to how things are shifting. I think one of the main problems sometimes is that often people think there is an argument going on when there isn't, it's often a misconception prompted by the history of arguments here:rolleyes2:{sm2}

Here is an excellent case in point coming directly from a well established K&C dealer.
In all fairness then let's check back around mid July to see how the VW's are doing.
I chose to pre-order mine to avoid E-bay as we all know any 250 series release will
wind up there, the question is at what price then ???

Well 28 July & I picked one up for $115.00 + you can still buy them in shops so there no need to panic buy
