"KnC" new D-Day Sherman !!! (1 Viewer)

Had these models, they aren't radio controlled, they are battery operated but they only go forward. Might get this plastic one and melt it and chop it to appear sunken.

I posted the photo to show what kind of detail you can get with plastic tanks and to me the detail on the tracks is better than knc version which is the only downside to it

Well boys, see my post under the official announcement of the KnC Sherman - they screwed the pooch on research for this one! A "DDay Sherman" it ain't!

A true pity. My grandfather drove a Sherman in the breakout from Normandy. Had that little ride for about six months before some German trashed it. It should be noted grandpa sort of started it by trashing a German Tiger tank first according to him. Fortunately his entire crew managed to escape from their on fire tank. My grandfather was barely conscious when he was hauled out of the drivers compartment and then rolling him in the snow to put his burning legs out.

Grandpa refused medical treatment for the second degree burns on his legs for fear they would split the tank crew so he never received his purple heart.

Hold the phone, its not correct?? I am stunned!!LOL

I just want to point out that even though it does lack some detail, it both costs less than a standard mounted figure, AND the detail is significantly better than the K&C pieces of 12-14 years ago that many WWII collectors will spend exorbitant amounts on. All I am saying is give KnC a chance.

Sandor mate,
The voice of common sense and reason has prevailed from one of our younger collectors and Forum members. Whilst I was previliged to see the protype in Chicago and was a sceptic at first, I say each to their own taste. I can advise the members here that I have taken two pre-orders from new customers already.
Cheers Howard

PS Sandor, I hope your Military career is progressing well.:salute::

The KnC tank may be fine for some and to get younger collectors into the hobby but to compare it to the Easy Eight from a few years ago (DD 27) or to a DD 44 is laughable. It is nowhere detailed as that.

I may have been harsh in using the word "laughable" but this tank is not as well detailed as the older ones nor is it intended to be: different materials, different audience and so on.
