Awesome Damian. I saw that the box said Made in China. Is that just a box or was it actually made in China.

Many thanks to Martyn for trading the prone Royal Irish Regiment to me.

Martyn, how many RIR sets did Len make?

Brad

Hi Brad

I can find reference to 6 sets in the early Tel El-Kebir series

Prone firing set :wink2:
The Command set - Officer on horse, Colour Sergeant with flag and Drummer
The Firing set
At the ready set
The Advancing set
The Charging set

The later Dragon Crest range has 10 sets

Cheers

Martyn:)

I've no doubt Damian the enjoyment your getting while setting up your man cave unpacking the sets you've had in storeage as well as the one from the move into it. Thanks for sharing it with us. Brad seems you've been adding to your Trophy Collection quite frequently lately and it's nice to see it growing...........Joe{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

No real surprise that Len was interested in Paddle Steamers - to anyone who lived in South Wales.

Len lived in Penarth - which is just outside the boundaries of the City of Cardiff. Penarth had an old Victorian Pier - and a "Campbells" Paddle Steamer used to run across the Bristol Channel for "pleasure cruises". Below see "The Waverly", just setting off on a cruise across the Channel to Ilfracombe from Penarth Pier, a trip that was a real treat back in the 1950's, as I can testify to from personal experience, with my Mam and Dad.

Len would have been sure to have seen them - as they were quite a sight.

Absolutely fabulous models Damian - and made for sure in Penarth - and not China.

I picked this up a few weeks ago, Boxer Rebellion BS 31 U.S.A. Marines Advancing.

I don't really collect the Boxer series (although I have a couple of figures) but this seemed like just a great set. Sorry if the photos aren't sharp but it was a little overcast this morning.

Brad

That set would really go well with US3-Dynamite Gun of the Spanish American War 1898, Tommy has this set{bravo}}

Cheers

Martyn:)

Thanks Martyn. I'm sure Tommy would say that the only way you're getting that set is prying it from my hands ^&grin
