Thank you, Martyn for the wonderful news...
I am looking forward to hear about Trophy history from the Master himself.
All the best.

Hi Al

I know Len checks out the forum on a regular basis, he was here earlier today. As soon as he has had his knee operation on March 24th and is feeling up to it I know he will be passing on loads more Trophy history

Cheers

Martyn:)

I wonder if a book along the lines of the K&C ones that are available would be possible sometime in the future?

I think between the Trophy members on here we have most sets covered and with Lens help I think a book could be written.

I know I'd be in for buying a copy :)

So would I, and I don't collect Trophy (or even gloss figures).

Hi Martyn,

I hope Len makes a speedy recovery from his knee surgery on March 24th.

There is something very special about his presence on the forum.

Thanks Scott, Raymond, Randy, Jeff and Al.

I know Len is an avid follower of the Trophy thread and all your kind comments are being read by The Man himself.

Even though the figures have the very early round bases they are very steady and do not topple.

A book is a fantastic idea, any help any one would need with AZW, or indeed any other Trophy set pictures. I would be more than happy to assist with.

Cheers

Martyn:)

Here are some of my new additions. Can some please tell me the set numbers of the Officer on the Horse and the Zulu with the spear held high.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian

The set# for the Zulu is ZS51, I think the Officer is from an Egypt and the Sudan command set looking at the puggaree around his helmet

Cheers

Martyn,

Thanks for the information. I also have a few more Hand to Hand sets coming.

Brian

These came in the mail today: HZ1, HZ4, HZ5, HZ6 and HZ7.
On Hand to Hand sets was the same Zulu pose in the same Hand to Hand set number or could they vary. In other words did HZ1 always have the same Zulu? I may have messed up the photo sequence.

Hi Brian,

Congrats on your new acquisitions of Trophy Hand to Hand sets.

From Top to Bottom

HZ7A > Correct Zulu (the shield is more horizontal)

HZ4A > Correct Zulu (the shield is more vertical)

HZ5A > Correct Zulu

HZ1A > If the Zulu is wielding an axe, then it is the correct one.

HZ6A > Correct Zulu

Hope this helps.

Best Wishes, Raymond.:)

Hi Martyn and Brian,

I am not sure the horse matches the officer.

The officers in that pose with binoculars by Trophy are usually on standing horses.

Also, Trophy usually made horses with bases.

However, the horses of the AZW Chelmsford trio did come without bases.

Sorry, I am no help here.

Happy Weekend, Raymond.:)

Hi Brian

Raymond is quite right, your horse seems to be cantering or trotting whereas all the horses I have in Command sets are stationary. Here are some examples, please note the horse in the RMLI set has no base.

Good Morning Martyn here's Chelmsford making his appearance as set ZM57 along with the Command set ZS1 and Brian it's nice to see your ZW series growing and here's Set HZ7 you'll note with a different Zulu Warrior. Len sure loved keeping us on our toes as he made minor and major figure changes to his sets.:D:D:D.

Hi Joe

I would love to get your version of Chelmsford looking through his bino's.

Cheers

Does anyone have the early French Napoleonic Hussars?
I picked up one years ago in London and I think they were intended for the Egyptian campaign.
I have never seen or heard of any since then.

Hello,
I have seven early Trophy hussars, however, they are not from the Egyptian Campaign but from the 1813 Campaign. Take a look in my Trophy album. I would like to see a photo of yours.

JW

John: I looked at your albums again and you really have quality mint sets in your terrific collection. Thanks for posting those.
