Another version of the water barrel

Thats interesting Damian, did it come as a set and do you have the box? The reason I ask is that set# EQ7AS - WATER BARREL WAGON had two Privates and your set has three:cool:

Looks like the KINGS ROYAL RIFLE CORPS:salute::

Cheers

There was no label on the box and the set is second hand so I am not sure where the extra private comes from. My Kakhi version has only one private as well.

Always much better to have an extra figure for a set rather than one missing:wink2: I bet he was ordered as an extra when the set was first purchased, the paint finish is a perfect match:cool:

You are spot on there Martyn. He looks like he is supposed to be part of the set as you say. I am glad to have them. Now I have two water barrels. I see the auction for Rorkes Drift is nearing the end.
I wonder what is going to happen there?

Can you keep us posted on the final price, along with the Abu Klea set?

Many thanks Joe, I agree, he would have looked just as good in trousers as he does in a kilt

This set was late in arriving or it would have been show with the others, well worth the wait as it has the rarer brown boxes

EGYPT and THE SUDAN

Set# EQ28 - UNLOADING WAGON

The early sets had 4 figures, later sets had 5 figures. This set has a soldier drinking from his canteen instead of a soldier opening a box
