I love the new Austin Tilly in the last photo - can't wait to add one to my airfield.:cool:

An ingenious plane which could land and take of on the proverbial 'sixpence' I once read a book by someone about the pilots who flew these and it was amazing some of the tales. If only I could remember who it was by.

Wonder if its possible to recreate in polystone
Mitch

Another lovely picture to add to my Wooden Warbird photo set! That Austin Tilley looks new to me ( no frosted windows ) like the original from years gone by. Perhaps this is the RAF mystery vehicle mentioned in the July dispatch due out in September. If so then I'll be a little disappointed as I was hoping for a fuel bowser to fuel up my new Spitfire!

If I had the money I would love a version with the externel large fuel tank. Black paint scheme used for dropping and returning agents from occupied Europe.

Email K & C; you can only get it from them. Shipping is by FedEx overnight. It's probably $90 extra. Any problems let me know.

Mark, I don't know if you have any Warbirds but everything else pales in comparison. They're not cheap however.

No, it was a scout plane coopted by the OSS for dropping off and picking up agents in occupied europe.

Actually, it was a liaison aircraft used in support of British SOE covert operations. 118 of 175 aircraft were lost in May - June 1940 supporting army operations. Missions were switched to SOE ops after that.

Beautiful model but hope to see the truck offered soon! :D

Email sent...you know I'm still tore up over the estate which had numeous warbirds. At the time I knew nothing about K&C so I passed on them. I figured all the soldiers I bought was enough of a risk. Now I'm thankful to have found such a great new hobby!

I only own two warbirds now, P51 & Wood German Stuka.

I forgot to mention that this Robert Taylor painting of the Lysander depicts a kite from No. 161 Squadron based at Tangmere.

Only two warbirds? I thought you would have triple that by now. Which versions of the P-51 & Stuka do you have? By the way, the Lysander is a great choice and will make a spectacular display piece.

Tally Ho,
Marc
