Guys

Due to the bad connection speed at the Royal national at London the show films from there will be next week.

I have a nice libary of films to go on:-

Bob Neville interviews with Andy Neilson of K&C - the future discontinued and coming up items

Bob Neville of TSTV interviews Gerard from Frontline on the Company past presant and future

Then there will be a load of TOY SOLDIER SHOW LONDON.

So loads of new data going on after the show

Great

Thanks for those Tony, great stuff as ever and gives a nice flavour of the day for those who couldn't make it.

Very taken by those Walkerloo figures as a kind of novelty item - anyone who was there have any idea what price range they might be in??

Cheers,

Molloy.

at the show you could get an ENTIRE regiment for £20!!!!

Their site is underconstruction but wil be up soon

Tony

A couple of new films today

ALL NEW FILMS NOW HAVE THE FULL SCREEN FACILITY

Unfortunatly only on the new films that go on i cannot go back over and add this format to old films.

Just click on the box next to the volume on the view screen and it will expand. Click on it again to reduce it

To the Neville's:

Thank you for the outstanding and continuous job of great reporting of this fine hobby called "Toy Soldiers". Personally, I look forward to your posts and video reporting from the myriad toy soldier venues you attend. IMO, it sustains continued excitement among current collectors and attracts new collectors.

I guess that means you’re promoting the entire hobby very well despite that fact your company (KC-UK) only sells King and Country.

Bravo,

Carlos

Thanks Carlos

TSTV has been set up as an inde[endant company and as such allows us to promote this hobby in the new format that we have brought to the hobby

once again thanks for your kind words

see you in chicago

£20 for a regiment?! Now that could be very interesting! I'll await the launching of the site to get a closer look at those guys. Brilliant idea though.

A little bit off topic actually Tony, but you strike me as the very man who might know: Hamleys are due to open a Dublin store later this year - any ideas if they'd be following the lead of their big brother in London and stocking K&C? The thought of having a retail outlet within driving range is both delightful and worrying in equal doses.....

Cheers,

Molloy.

K&C UK are the supplier to Hamleys in London and what a pain the A**e they are!!

Not sure about the Dublin branch as they have not asked for extra stock. If the Dublin Store is anything like their Satalite branches in Edinburgh and alike i think you may be dissapointed! which as you say is a good and bad thing!!

the satalite stores tend to stock the hamleys tat that they sell of their own product!

Tony,

Thanks for getting the films up so quickly... and good job all-round. But I think that bloke you interviewed about the card board soldiers needs a hair cut... ... :)

I had a great time at what was my first show and what was only my second public outing with walkerloo, the first being only the weekend before at the Waterloo re-enactment at Waterloo. It was very cool (relief!) getting such positive re-actions to the figures... they've been a long time in the making! We're heading back to blighty next weekend for the 'Battle proms' in Burghley House grounds... and a few meetings with various museum shops about selling the soldiers.

In response to molloys question, our online prices will be £25/box... i.e. a regiment (33 figs Inf or 12 cav or 3 cannons 16 crew)and I'm negotiating with our Post Office exactly which parcel tariff will apply, that may include P&P! Hope to have the website ready later this week but we will also be selling on e-bay in a day or two. If any one is desperate they could email info at walkerloo.com and we could arrange a parcel... hmmmm perhaps I'm the only desperate one!

Maybe i should put some pics up else where on the site... see what the treefroggers think but don't want to be push push pushy.

the future,

Chris

oh and thanks very much to Mr. Adamson for delivering the parcel to my nephew, it was his 8th birthday lasy sunday and he's totally to blame for the soldiers existence. It was the first time he'd seen the double sided die cut versions! I was relieved he told me he liked them, no doubt I'll get a full critique when I'm up north in a few weeks time.

I need some help
Went to the website, did register, received an email that said I successfully registered. Whenever I go on the website and click on a movie, a window comes up telling me that I need to register or sign in.
I can't find that "sign in" icon. Anybody out there can help me out? I'd appreciate it.

Konrad,
Should be top right hand corner of the screen. Are you not getting anything there?

Cheers for the info mate!

Hmmm...can't quite decide whether that's good or bad news. Financially speaking, almost certainly a plus, but there is something very nice about actually being able to see figures "in the flesh" before purchasing, really adds to the whole experience (as great as I find ordering online from yourselves, that is;)). Am I right in thinking then that you've never had a bricks and mortar supplier in Ireland??

Well in any case, the parents are already mooting a shopping trip over to London for September/October, so I'm sure they could be entreated to pop into the Hamleys on their first-born's behalf!

Chris,

Congratulations on the venture mate, always great to see new companies entering into the hobby, and especially those with a slant towards Waterloo;)!

How have you found the reaction so far?

Cheers,

Molloy.

Wraith is right, on the top right hand corner you will see sign in. Sign in and you should be OK for the session. Unfortuantly at the moment you will have to sign in (NOT REGISTER) each time you return.

We are working on a remember me entry like in TF

Have had, and still got, same problems. Every time I sign in, or register, I just get put back to the begining again in a continuous loop. Tony, you sent me an Email telling me that I was registered and that there was a problem with AOL but that I should be able to access the site by signing in but it still doesn't work, which is a pity as I was looking forward to seeing the clips. Would appreciate any help.

Same problem here but got over it by re-registering-bit of a pain but worth it.
