Well the show is only 10 days away, I am looking forward to the show and seeing the new Thomas Gunn Elephants for the Roman range, plus any of the aircraft T Gunn have there. Also seeing the new stuff from John Jenkins and to see if the new[ish] NAP0577 French Carabinier and Drummer Boy is as good in the flesh as the pictures, bit expensive for me, but seeing it in the flesh might tip me over the edge and buy it.

The TG and JJD products, I'm pretty certain, are going to be must see. :wink2:

This has got to be the quietest lead up to a London show on this forum ever??? just wondering with the changes coming this year for the show has it effected some of the regular discussions that go on here?? but then again haven't seen to many of the UK Brigade posting much lately.

I agree, Sammy.
Just Sunday night I was thinking the same thing. I don't recall any London Show coming up, being that neglected like this time.
Usually the fellow collectors from the U.K. Would chime in and announce their wishes, what they want to see, what they are hoping for, who they want to meet, who would be at the noon bar gathering, etc.
Now, we are just a few days away from it, and nothing.
That is scary.

I was chatting with David Marshall of TM Terrain by email last week and he mentioned the show was this week and I had totally forgot about it, I checked the discussions for it here and nothing??? Rob, Bob, Simon, Jeff, James etc....where are our boys at?? anyway, I always look forward to their reporting of the shows be it photos/stories, hopefully we hear from the good mates yet.

Hoping as usual someone will be good enough to snap some photos for those of us never likely to have the wonderful opportunity to attend. I see where John Gittens ( J G Miniatures) is attending, maybe with some new products perhaps. Robin.

Well I can't speak for the UK bods named - but obviously Isandlwana, Walsingham (already posted,) myself and collecting buddy Pete (Chalklands) will be in attendance - along I'm sure with the many other regular collector faces we see and chat with at each show.

I will be doing my usual photo piece in the JJD section of any new JJD products on show. (I'm sure there will be lots of photo's from the show posted........ but if not I'll take some just in case.)

So everything as usual - nothing ominous.......... as far as I'm aware :smile2:

Thanks for the reply Old Bill, nothing personal in my post naming a few other members who attend it's just those fellows are the ones I kind of grew up with here on this forum sort of speak :) I think most members here on Treefrog we look forward to the photos, commentary from the good Mates across the pond during the London shows, there is always a great variety and displays, thanks again for your reply.

Sadly I won't be at the show this time - other commitments plus still catching up after 3 weeks in New Zealand mean that I am going to miss it.

I will be at the June and December show and am working on a couple of new releases for those shows at the moment.

I am also taking delivery of a bunch of moulds for an old toy soldier range tomorrow that I have picked up - the seller isn't sure what they are, a bunch of French and British Napoleonics and some jousting knights - not been on the market for 15 years and he can't remember who he bought from... That's all I know... Hopefully I can get them sorted and work out what they are and get some into production for June.

Mike

Hi Sammy,

No problem - I didn't take it personally :)

I know of the people named........ and I too have followed their very entertaining posts over the years. Just saying if they are not in attendance there are others ("the quiet ones".....) ^&grin who will cover the show.

Here's a pic I took at the LTSS show back in June 2013 at the JJD UK stand. I believe (if my memory serves me right) it's Rob and a then visiting Louis.

Cheers,

Roy

I was due to go this Saturday and had planned to take the usual amount of photos, but (and I don't wish to hi jack this thread please) I have recently lost my Mother and its her funeral on Monday - so no Jeff this show. But I hope to be there in June and catch up with the usual suspects then.

Have a good show.

Jeff

Sorry to hear of your Mother Jeff, my condolences to you and your family...Sammy

I'm currently on the Gold Coast in Australia returning to Melbourne tomorrow for another three weeks- finally returning to the UK mid-April. Subsequently, it'll be a no-show for me at this months London show. However, as much as I enjoy the Brit Brigades company three times a year I am preferring the weather here more than in the UK. Moreover, I have already spent at least three months TS allowance at Howard's shop in Donnybrook  but that did result in getting me an invitation to the excellent K&C Melbourne dinner and chewing the cud with Andy N.

Jeff my sincere condolences on the loss of your Mother.

Bob

Looking forward to your JJD show report OB. Rather anxious to see what's next for that great Wars of the Roses series, as well as a preview of JJD's Enemies of Rome. Haven't been this interested in news of upcoming figures for quiet some time now, but JJD's Wars of the Roses series has recaptured my interest in this hobby. - Thanks, Ken

No Show for me this time as we will be on holiday with our 4 year old grandson ^&cool

Hopefully someone else will manage to take a few LL pictures ^&grin

Jeff, I would like to offer my sincere condolences on the loss of your Mother

Cheers

Martyn:)

Full of anticipation myself Ken!

I've been in on the the Wars of the Roses series since the June 2012 LTSS "V for Victory Olympic Special!" figure (which had the prefix WOR-01) It was a long wait - but boy has it been worth it ^&grin The series has already surpassed anything I'd hoped for :salute::

Must say I can feel a little collecting "tingle up the spine" regarding the Enemies of Rome - Barbarians. I've a feeling I might be dragged into that too.....{eek3}

I think there may be some other new shows as well - fingers crossed!

Roy

Sorry to hear you won't be there Jeff - and sorry to hear your news. Hope to see you in June.
