Now I've recovered slightly the morning after so to speak I just want to say a big thank you to several people. I want to say thanks to Simon, James, Andy, Alan, Bob & Trudi and Jeff for making the lunchtime drink such an very enjoyable session and a real laugh. Myself, Andy, Simon and James stayed on in the bar for longer than I care to remember and sank quite a few whilst there! Finally Simon, James and myself staggered our way up the road to a cafe where Simon (being the type of top bloke he is) treated myself and James to a very nice dinner that soaked up at least some of the ye olde alcohol:wink2: Thanks again mate, my turn to pay in June:smile2:

I THINK I want to thank Andy (UK Bod)as he has got me looking at Britains various ranges in a new light....I say THINK because I am so tempted I think its going to cost me big time! ^&grin

I also want to thank my very good friend Bob who being the very generous guy he is gave me the superb set below, really very kind of you mate and it will one day sit atop my Little Round Top dio, (even if it can't depress its barrel low enough to pour forth on the approaching Rebs!) always good to see you and your charming good lady Trudi my friend.

Was also good to see Clive pop into the bar and chat to us about next years Symposium, he has a lot of ground work to do for this and it will take some time and effort to arrange, however one thing is sure, from the Brit Brigade point of view we all appear really up for whatever happens next year . {bravo}}

So thanks to all you guys, was as always a pleasure........twelve weeks and we do it all over again!{bravo}}{bravo}}{bravo}}

Sarum Soldiers / Yeomanry

I really like your photos, they are very clear and don't blow the figures out of proportion, helping us get the real 54mm/60mm feeling.

Thank you so much not just for posting them but for taking the time and effort to take them.
Cheers,
Paulo

Well Rob, I think I know exactly how you feel, trouble brewing up^&grin, I really like what Britains is doing right now...
By the way, excellent ACW set, maybe a sign of things to come, hey...^&grin^&grin
Thank you for your great photos.

Cheers,
Paulo

It was good to see everyone again at the show as well as having a good look around the different stalls. So Rob are we going Zulu?

What did I get -

Figarti: T34/85
Britains: Zulus x 3, FrenchNap Infantry x4, Sudan x 4, Sudan mounted Mahdist, Camel with pack, Ponsonby Set
JJD: 1 x Beja Set, 1 x Wounded camel and Rider, 1 x Gordon Highlander Set, Zulu War Collector Set and the free figure

and that sums up another show - see you all in June.

Regards

Andy,

We are going ACW, Zulu , WW1.....I'm dipping toes in three different eras....if you never hear of me again you know the wife read this post and took preemptive action!^&grin. The more I look at their figures the more I'm getting drawn in!

Good to see you yesterday mate and see you in June!

Rob

Many thanks to all for the great pictures and reports from the show, yes even Simon who graciously(?) took time from his busy schedule of shenanigans, tired old jokes and barroom debauchery to take some very nice photos of the LL tables. :smile2: Can't wait to see that awesome Trostle Farm from TM Terrian fleshed out with Bob's wonderful ACW figures and JG Minitures scenics. The London Shows have to be the best toy soldiers bar none and thanks again to everyone who shared it with us.

Hey Paulo,

Yep some of the figures are so nice, Zulu's,ACW,WW1 its all good! Just a few figures here and there and build up my collection over time.^&cool

Rob

Oh and I forgot to thank the one and only and very generous Mr Chris Mckenna who brought me loads of leaflets and Collectors from the Westcoaster. Great to see you in London yesterday mate and safe travels to New Zealand, hope you can come back to the London show in the future Dude.

Rob,

Pleasure as always - It's great to see the guys for the three days each year. Takes you away from the normal day job and a group you can talk Toy Soldiers with and sometimes you even get a coherent response.^&grin

I look forward to seeing your Isandhlwana display in the Britains/ZULU section soon - the Lt would be proud of me - more recruits. How about the Sudan? You can buy Britains and JJD and mix them together and it is so easy to use those JG Miniatures sand mats for a display. You have to put those K&C 8th Army and Afrika Korps tanks away first though.

Take care mate see you in June.

Paulo,

Very impressed with the JJD Nap figures myself but I can't start another collection yet. As you say I do mix periods but there is so many good products out there at the moment.

Rgds

Andy

Thanks for the pictures everyone, looks like a great show.

For me the highlights were David's stand, specifically his (and now Bob's) spectacular Trostle farm complex, the new Napoleonics range from JJD (SO many possibilities there), the Hetzers from TGM and the ECW and other figures from Heritage, they look great, would love to see more ECW figures from perhaps K & C, FL or JJD..............
