First Legion is pleased to present a new sub range to our World War II: The Arms and Armies of the Second World War 1939-1945. The Late War Germans sub range will cover both Eastern Front and Western Front Late War Germans that are not tied to any particular battle and have a wide variety of uses and scenarios for which they can be used. The first sets in the new series are LWG001 German King Tiger from SS Abt. 509 in Hungary and LWG002 which is the exact same tank as LWG001 but without any divisional or turret markings such that collectors can mark it themselves as any theater or tank they prefer. If this proves popular, we will do this for other tanks as well. Look for the first figures in the LWG series in a few months. In addition, we also have set TC011 Waffen SS Winter Tank Crew. These figures can be used on a variety of our tanks, most notably the King Tiger and Panther.

Please note that for the LWG002 unmarked variant, only a very few have been made.

Will we also be seeing late war "spring/summer" uniforms and AFVs ?

Really Like these Winter KT Tigers.....I also like the idea of no unit markings as we can add different turret numbers to multiple tanks.....Well Done FL:salute::

The unmarked KT is already SOLD OUT! wow! That was quick. Maybe we will see a non winter KT unmarked. I sometimes wonder how many "winter" KT there were in real life...

I ordered one of the unmarked Winter King Tigers.....I really like this idea..:salute::....I have in the past requested that FL tanks be made with different and varied turret numbers but to no avail.....This is EVEN BETTER and a great idea for buying and using multiple tanks in a battle scene :salute::....I hope that FL does more of these unmarked KT tanks and that this new strategy of unmarked will continue with other FL WWII AFV's.......IMO it would be great to see the FL Winter Panther re-released "UNMARKED" as well as other prior tanks ....Well Done FL......LIKE IT..... :salute:::salute:::salute::

A Porsche turm Annalise for Budapest would be a nice addition to the FL Winter KT collection. Would need Zimmerit; as all Porsche turm KT's had Zimmerit. Ideal for Normandy too. with suitable camouflage!

Looks great in natural light. Thanks Vezz and congrats!

I still don't get it......Why is the underpainting on these FL late war ''winter'' tanks grey? They did the same thing with the winter Panther.
I always thought that the use of dark grey on vehicles was no longer in use by this time of the war.
- Anyone's knowledgeable insight on this on this would be much appreciated.

You are right, no Panther or King Tiger used dark grey base color.

Well the white wash looks good on the dark grey, but all the same it seems to be a rather glaring error.
Since it's the long awaited KT, I guess their collectors just don't care.

It's not an error and we aren't suggesting the historical base color is dark grey. It's a stylistic decision where the gray is basically the shadow color of the white. Our collectors expect us to produce beautiful models and I think this one certainly meets that expectation.

I went and admired my FL Winter Panther yet again after reading Matt's response...indeed, a beautiful model.

Artistic license versus historical accuracy in military miniatures would make a very interesting and lively conversation. I opt for historical accuracy. Should I desire artistic effects I would buy a 1/35 kit and do it myself!
