Good lord, this Final 4 is a huge bust. 2 teams I know nothing about and could not care less about, 1 team I actively despise, and Connecticut. First Final 4 I won't be interested in watching in decades. -- Al
Just a note on officiating as I have not watched until the tournament. I believe the calls are awful in general. Walks are now not called at the college level and over the back on rebounds is apparently ok. I don't know if it is the officials or they have been instructed to ignore. Again back to the game I cared about, Texas blew it but in that second half, the number of fouls had to be a tournament record. It is a different type of basketball game today for sure. I believe uconn is the team to beat now.

And Doug since you had to bring the sark dig in, be careful where you cast shade as karma can be a real beatch. . Horns football will be a force next year without a doubt.
No kidding? Is Vince Young going to graduate school there?
Lights out in college, total bust in the NFL......................as are most run first, pass third QB's.
I also think, as Tom does, that U Conn is the team to beat, plus I hope they win as I used to live in Connecticut.
Gmoney. We got a young team and much to Doug's chagrin, Sark can coach. They will be competitive. I don't for one second believe arch Manning will be a hit his first year but he has a chance to be pretty darn good in a year!
Put it this way, I would not bet against them week to week.
Which Manning is he the son of, I've lost track of the Manning clan.
If it's Peyton, he's got a shot, if it's Eli, unless Texas plays the Patriots every week, they're screwed.
And I am GMoney, which the two of us will be proving to the toy soldier world soon enough.............TD and GMoney, that's a pair I wouldn't bet against..................
Strap yourselves in boys and girls, MFCA is going to be a wild *** ride.
This is a good point. Problem is probably lack o' interest in the teams involved, for most of the country. Until I read your post, and was reminded, the Final 4 had gone out of my head. After all, today is Opening Day and baseball is now my priority. Still doubt I'll watch the Final 4. -- AlThe NCAA, casinos and CBS have really over play “their hand” by extending these games into another week.
Even ESPN’s vaunted Sportscenter has not mentioned the Final Four in the last 48 hours.

Agree about the delay. It's a killer for the NCAA, especially as it hits right as MLB returns. Maybe the NCAA saw how the NFL operates during the SB publicity snoozefest that occurs between the league championship games and the sacred SB. I have yet to watch a single minute of all that garbage that leads up to the SB. -- AlAl-
Great post.
I agree that the schools involved do not help ratings, at the same time I’d be losing interest no matter who was in the Final Four.
Nowadays the tournament builds up a massive amount of momentum for 3 weeks, only to be brought to a halt by the ridiculous money grab fused weeklong delay.
Meanwhile I am already reading Giant’s box scores while following the NHL.
Best,
Jason
