Nice scene...
Admin sites like this are much more common than the battle scenes we all tend to put together, and why I really like pieces like recovery vehicles, ammo tillys, and fuel tankers, and figures doing repair and resupply work.
Thanks Paul and I agree, I kinda prefer non combat scenes to action scenes although i'll try and do some action scenes in the future as well.
Tom,
just one comment : SUPER DIORAMA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is one hell of a church . Very nice building
guy
Thanks Guy and yeah, it's a ripper of a building, kudos goes to Jakob for making it for me.
Thanks Harrie
The ground work here is amazing. You can see a lot of time and effect has gone into the terrain to set these buildings off. The vehicles and figures are really spoilt, the scene is already set for them whatever they are, they are going to look nice wherever positioned. You are no doubt very happy Tom on the finished product. A very versatile diorama board which will be seeing many more times. Like the bridge too. Robin.
Thanks Robin, I spent a bit of time working out how I wanted to build this dio and also a fair bit of time achieving the level of detail. I really wanted to do that to bring the whole scene to life and to showcase the church.
Well done Tom..............:salute::
The lad is self taught as well, not a lot of fellow collectors up there, I think he is on his Roy Malone. :wink2:
Thanks mate and tips from you Brissy blokes never go astray..:wink2:^&grin
Very nice Tom, is the church a Jakob building.
Matt
Cheers Matt and yeah, it's a Jakob special!
Very impressive Wayne :salute::
Thanks "Bob" ^&grin, I'm glad you liked it!
Thats again a nice diorama, very nice pictures, and what a nice looking damaged church.
Thanks Cruelios
Tom...that's awesome looking...great job...the groundwork...the church...the two farm structures...excellent job...it's compact with room for figures and everything blends together very nicely...
Thanks Mike and your tips and assistance have greatly assisted me in building these dio's.
Tom,
What everyone else said. Love the church and the battle damage to it, plus the flowers are a nice touch.
Brad
Thanks Brad, the flowers are fiddly little buggers to put together but I think they do enhance the scene greatly.
Hi Tom
Looks very nice, do you have a picture from a distance?, so we are able to see the whole lot.
Thank you.
Jakob
Thanks Jakob, glad you like it and again thank you for building me this magnificent structure. I did take some distance pics and will post them on here shortly.
Hi Tom,
Excellent series of shots. You're dio is superb! Love that church as well as the entire scene.
Thanks Rob.
Tom,
All I can say is wow.
Just stunning really.
Everything about it; the buildings, the groundwork, the trees, the positioning of the buildings, it's top shelf for sure.
I must have missed something, did you post pictures of this masterpiece as it came together; if so, where so I can view it step by step.
As Paul mentioned, great to see the behind the lines sort of thing but at some point, could you redo this as a battle scene, that would be epic and right in my wheelhouse.
Thanks again for sharing.................
Thanks George, your comments are appreciated and sorry mate, I didn't take any progression pic's other than two which i'll download off my phone in the next few days and post on here. As mentioned above, I prefer non combat scenes but I will do an action scene in the near future. I just have to work out the special affects bit so I can hide all the bases. I was able to hide most of the bases in these pic's by placing the figures in certain places and using the camera angle etc.
Tom, Wow! What a great looking scene. Everything about it is so nice. I love the church and other buildings (from Jakob?). The grass is really well done too. Thanks for sharing this mate, and a job well done. You have a great looking collection.
Thanks Duke, glad you like it mate.
Yes Tom, I forgot to ask if there are any photos of the build in progress.
Coming Bob...^&grin
Well Done, Tom .....
and like Jakob said, lets see the whole diorama in one shot to see the extent,
John
Thanks John and thanks to all the likers as well.
Tom
