Matchbox, Corgi and Hot Wheels cars. (1 Viewer)

John thanks for the photos. It's wonderful to see them. Unfortunately I don't remember which Dinkys I received on that day. But over the years I (my father actually) did my part to keep the Dinky company afloat.

What I do remember from that photo is being disappointed with the six shooters. The holsters were white and I wanted something more realistic; maybe brown with a string to tie it to my hip. I feel a bit bad about this because my dad must have gone to some trouble to get this set for me.

But he wasn't watching Wild Bill Hickok and so he didn't know what was what.

.......................................

Great photo! Ok lets not get started on all the Fanner 50's, Shootin-Shell,

the Carbine & Indian Scout Rifle and such! I used to have a ton of that stuff

here are a few photos of a Mint Mattell Out Draw the Outlaw and a set of

Hartland Gunfighters I just passed to other collectors!

I just took a bunch of photos of my Dinky's. I guess we are from slightly different generations, John, as the Dinky's I loved to play with, made in the early 1970's were 1:35 scale, came on carboard stands with clear plastic domes over them, and the canons had springs in them and they shot little plastic bullets. With the help of Gideon from Classic Toys, I replaced all of the ones I had as a kid. There is a U.S. Self-Propelled 105mm gun, a commando jeep, a 105mm Canon with U.S. Crew; a British Bren Gun Carrier; a German Kubelwagon pulling a Pak 40 Anti-Tank Gun; a Hanomang Tank Destroyer (with a canon on top); and finally, a Britains Ltd. Kubelwagon with a driver and machine gunner. I took a few out of the packaging and photographed them in front of the packaging, and photographed the rest in the packaging (without flash you can see right inside and get a good look at the vehicles). I have to send them to Brad with a polite request that he post them for me.

I finally e-mailed the photos to Brad with a polite request that he post them for me.

From Louis.........

I had noticed the price tag and wondered why you hadn't removed it. Now I understand. :)
