I really enjoyed to follow the working process and would love to see the same for any other projects in the future!

After careful study and to make ready the area for the footprint of this fort, I have come to the conclusion as follows…
Across front 44cm, side 28cm and side incorporating the tower 30cm ( the tower juts out at the front by 2cm)
To make John’s version you will need 3 straight walls and 3 corners, gateway, tower and cabin.
cabin 30x8 cm
straight wall 16cm
corner 6x6 cm
tower 8x8 cm
gate 14cm
So these are my estimates based on the photos and the gridded table John uses while he is building, so they might NOT be correct. Obviously when the fort is released as John has indicated, late this year or early next year, the actual sizes would be shown. Being keen for it’s arrival has prompted me to start preparing nevertheless. Thought this might help others who are collecting this wonderful series. Robin.

Good information Robin. I built my fort as a show of strength (stone blockhouses and canon) along with it being a trading post on the river. Outside of exceptions, such as Bent's Fort and Fort Union, John's is the most accurate for what was commonly built for trade. It will be a wonderful addition to any collection. My fort/trading post has the following dimensions: One change I would make, is to lower the height of palisades.

Fort W 58cm x L 56cm x H 14cm (23"X22"X5 1/2")
Blockhouses 10cm x 10 cm
HQ W 23cm x 15cm
Storage/ W 23cm x 7cm
Bunkhouse

Cabin W 11cm X 10cm
