Last, but certainly by no means least, we are extremely pleased to present our latest figure range, 60mm Medieval Wars with an initial focus on the Battle of Agincourt! Part of the Hundred Years' War, The Battle of Agincourt took place in 1415 and saw a numerically inferior English army under King Henry Vth defeat the French under the command of Charles D'Albret. The battle is best known for the role played by the English Long Bow with which the vast majority of the English were armed. As such, though we're launching the range with various personalities, knights, and men-at-arms, expect lots and lots of English archers and French Knights to come. As with all of our ranges, we will cover Agincourt in extreme depth and already have nearly 40 figures ready to be produced. With the superlative sculpting and painting that we've become renown for, this promises to be a truly spectacular figure range. If Henry Vth's finest hour was at Agincourt, our finest hour may be recreating him there! We do hope you find the figures well worth the wait.

Not really....armor and coat of arms very different between 1100/1200 and 1400's.
the exception might be the English archers.

Thanks Frank. NYSoldiers is corrrect on both counts (knights not so much, archers certainly). Our Crusades range is from Acre in 1291 while Agincourt was in 1415. During this 125 year span there was the introduction of much heavier solid plate armor as opposed to the predominantly chain armor of the preceeding centuries. There is a little bit of this in our Crusades range as it was just being introduced, however, these figures are from a later period and as such are not exactly the same. For the archers though, as they typically don't wear armor, they are very flexible and really don't look too much differently than the Crusader archers we've done already in terms of dress. Don't worry though, we will make just as many of these as we do our Crusaders over time, so there will be plenty to choose from! :)

Matt,

These are superb, a treat for the eyes.

Congrats on a fine job.

Also, with the transition to full plate armor shields were no longer required. This period was the pinnacle of the armored knight until firearms eroded the efficacy of armor of the day.

Excellent release Matt!

Excellent group of releases. Really like this timeperiod and so many options yet to be covered. MED001 is the standout piece for me. {bravo}}

The Agincourt line is gorgeous, as are all these new releases. What a tremendous bumber crop of releases for FL. -- Al

What a day for FL! So many outstanding releases simultaneously. The English knights look top-notch indeed. I think MED008 might be my favorite of the figures on foot. The armor work looks outstanding,and the bases mimic the terrain of battle quite nicely (as I knew it would). Congrats Matt on this exquisite release and just a great day overall!

First Legion delivers shock treatment today...!!! :)

Agincourt has been on my list for a while now, thanks for the near 6-month advanced warning so that I had the chance to accumulate funds for it...!!! {sm3}

King Henry is superb!! would like to see the SS released very interested in seeing them and, lets see some Brit Para's

I don't think there were any Paras at Agincourt :rolleyes2:

I've been able to avoid adding another manufacturer to my purchases. The FL revolution almost got me to bite, but I stayed strong! UGH, these new Agincourt figures....I just bough six of them!!!! Grrrrrrr {sm3}

Great series and the only suggestion I have is to offer an alternative "King Henry" on foot as I believe he fought that way at Agincourt.

I agree!

This is going to be a great series and I am anxiously awaiting the English longbowmen with their wooden stakes and French mounted knights for a nice diorama! ^&cool

ANyone have any word on the release date for these? I know it was pushed back because there were somethings they were unhappy with. The website says end of May still. I am not good at waiting for my new toys! {sm4}

In the thread on the London show, there are photos of them. Hence they apparently arrived at the UK dealers in time for the show.
