I just rec'd my figure in the mail today. I must disagree with Ales, I think this is very good figure. Ales I think you will change you mind once you see it. It looks great next to the other figures.

Hmm,
I have an email confirming they have my order for a long time now, but I emailed 2 days ago with no reply, when did you order?

Thanks!
Tom
ps figure looks great!

I placed my order on the 30th and it was shipped on the 4th, I was surprised I rec'd it so soon. My figure is #237.

You will like the figure.

Hi Brian,

That is certainly a very impressive figure of Lt. Melvill with the Colour.

Is there a companion set with Lt. Coghill?

Thanks for sharing, Raymond.:)

Brain how does he compare with the Collectors Show Case figures scale wise?

Very nice Brian, a great looking figure. I will have to hold of for now as I am saving for the upcoming Drift releases and also the Durbar. Ontop of this we have just bought a new house so I can't stretch to that figure. I will review the situation in the spring if there are any left. Thank you for sharing your photos with us.

The CS soldier figures are a little larger, but not by too much. Although, the horses of CS seem to be very close in size to the Britain horses, they seem almost the same to me. In a large diorama I do not think the think the size difference would be noticable.

I will post picture comparing the mounted figures to Melvill, the 24th foot figures and Zulu figures. I think the Carbineers are much better than the artillery figures and his Zulu figures are top notch.

I look forward to collecting two ranges of AZW matte Britains and CS.

Just out of curiosity, I popped to the MZ site. YIKES !!!!!! £45 for shipping are you kidding me that is daylight robbery. I know you get the parcel in like 2 days but come on............they don't even give you any shipping options.

I know what you mean, but I wanted the figure. Correct no shipping options. I think this figure will sell out even with the high price. The figure is much better that the picture.

No Coghill at this time Raymond. What is BD11 ?

Scott,

Thanks very much for the reply.

BD11 is Lt. Melville mounted "Saving the Colours" by Trophy.

Trophy did not make a companion set of Lt. Coghill mounted.

Most manufacturers just do Lt. Melville alone, one exception being Kingcast.

Here is a picture of Trophy's BD11.

Great looking figure Brian. It seems like you hit the mother load of shipment arrivals :D I know what you mean by "I wanted it" regardless of the shipping since I did the same thing with the the other WB MZ Zulu exclusive. Gotta luv that phrase "but I wanted it" - it will cost you everytime ;) - but you know, its worth it!!!!

Your looking at a price tag of $290.75 in USD based on the current exchange plus and additional fee tag on my your credit card company for the conversion. Did'nt check the tab Scott for the exchange rate on the Canadian Dollar.

Works out roughly the same in Canadian dollars LT.

Earlier this year I asked Mike Norris if he had plans to make a mounted Lt. Coghill figure to go with his Lt. Melville and he said definitely, eventually, so there is hope for a glossy version for you at least. :)
