I received some very sad news from his sister that Modwall Mike O'Donnell past away and thought I should let those who knew Mike and those aware of his contributions to the hobby and his love of it know of his passing. He's a friend that will be sadly missed by me and all who knew him. I'm attaching a link announcing his loss............Joe The Lt.

I would like to add my condolences. I never met him but he was very kind to me in his comments on the forum.

Joe...

it still shocks me since you told me...

Mike was such a nice guy to me...he gave me so much free and helpful advice on building foam structures...little secret tips that he learned by trial and error...he willingly shared with me...I was intimidated by building foam structures and he was so generous with his time on the phone giving me tips and the confidence to do them...he really helped me a lot...

he generously mailed me a large box of samples that are some of the nicest and most precise work I have ever seen...I know he did this all by hand...but you would swear a machine did it as it's so exact...

I still think his brick walls were among the most realistic products I have seen to date...

I know you guys were pretty close...and while I never actually met him...I considered him a good friend...I'm sorry he has left us...

Very sad news Joe. Condolences to his family and friends

Joe

Please accept my condolences for the loss of your friend. Mike was a great guy and as Kevin stated always posted supportive comments whenever I posted any of my dios. In early 2008 he repeatedly PM'd encouraging me to get the ACW Diaries published into book form.

A real sad loss Joe.

I found out about this from Nick at Crown, we both attended a show over the weekend, what a kick in the rear end this is.

I've known Mike for about 12 years, he made many nice terrain features for my show displays over the years, we shared table space at our local show several times, just such a comical guy to talk to.

He was a hard core Bruins fan, stuck with them through thick and thin, he was the first person I called when they won the cup two years ago...................my thoughts go out to his Mom, she has been through the ringer, her husband, Mikes brother, now Mike, I feel for the poor woman.

Goodbye Mike, you will be missed.........
