Moe's JJD Model Collection (4 Viewers)

Here's a nifty little model...

ACE-18
Morane Saulnier N

I like this one because it's so nicely executed, JJD truly on its game.^&cool

And what amounts to the MS-N's antagonist...

ACE-23
Fokker Eindecker E.III
Max Immelmann

BTW, the logic behind Jenkins' system of numbering its models has always eluded me. I was a couple of years late to the party and assumed that the models had emerged, sequentially, by number. Nope. It didn't happen that way. And I'd note that gaps still exist in the lineup in terms of those same numbers. "Mysteries of JJD," I call them. ;)

Here's a model that I've never displayed pics of here at TF...

ACE-07
Albatros DIII O.A.W.
Ltn. Erich Lowenhardt

Viewers be advised that these are NOT images of the new, updated manufacture, ACE-07(N). Rather, it's a model that was produced in one of several production runs associated with an earlier effort, ACE-07.

Thanks Mike,

What’s kind of fun is watching the YT vids on a 60-inch television. Some of the figures are like two-feet tall! Guess that’s as close as I’ll ever get to seeing “life-size” toy pilots!:wink2: For the uninitiated, YouTube allows you to select the playback resolution. For best viewing, select the highest value that’s offered.:D

Found a nifty “Australian Flying Corps” movie on YT:

Don't know much about it other than the production values appear pretty high.

As always, the clip will show better if the viewer clicks on the settings icon and selects the highest possible resolution.{sm0}

Looks awesome on an LED TV, BTW.

Really an enjoyable video to watch . . . . Great aerial combat footage and the split screen format was awesome. Interesting to know that the RE8 was known by British pilots as "Fokker Fodder". Even more interesting was that more pilots died while trying to learn to fly the Camel than those shot down in one. The SE5A got a lot of praise. Enjoyed it very much . . . .
