'Nuther Youtube slideshow:

The images were captured from inside a sliding-door curio cabinet. Quite the challenge!;)

Moe, this latest video is "Aces" in more ways than one . . . .
:smile2: Mike

Moe, loved the slideshow and the glass case is aces, but I had to kill the soundtrack.^&grin -- Al

Hah, SNL used that music! Arranged as they are, the figures kind of remind me of the cast doing their skits. In the words of Old Lodge Skins from Little Big Man:

Very nice slide show and excellent lighting effects. Sound track was a bit odd for me but enjoyed viewing. Chris

Thank you, Chris.;) And rest assured that this will be my last dalliance with "contemporary music.":redface2::wink2:

This Edited version of Toy Pilot Parade features the Aces High soundtrack from the movie Battle of Britain.

Hopefully, this will prove more suitable!

An excellent choice Moe. And may I suggest the theme to Where Eagles Dare, another favorite, on your next project? :smile2: Chris

Hehe, this is great. If a pic is crooked, I can blame it on the deck rolling!:wink2:

Fantastic shots, Moe. It's like I'm right on the flight deck, involved in operations. Noisy and windy, it doesn't get any better. -- Al

Thank you, Al. The planes show great. I’m really looking forward to more crew and such. I have no idea what the release schedule looks like, but it’s gonna be $$$ if everything comes in both a blue and brown base version. I’m not complaining, though. Wouldn’t have it any other way.:D

Fantastic photos Moe . . . . . The effect of the B&W photography adds a certain amount of realism to the scene . . . . Looks like you are having as much enjoyment out of this range as I am . . . . 2018 is going to be a great year to collect John's carrier aviation offerings . . .

Thanks Mike, I resorted to the B&W because the F4B-4 was pretty much retired from the fleet in 1937 (with the arrival of the F3F-1). No color photography back them, I'm afraid. Took a pic of the blue sets with an HM Hellcat:

I mentioned that there is some nice B&W photography available from the "mid-late forties." Here are a couple of relevant examples:

Bw4_2.jpg

The first may look like it's flipped or something. Nope. The Saratoga had arrestor-gear both fore and aft so that it could continue operating were part of the deck damaged. What we see is the ship operating in reverse and launching planes over its stern.

The second pic is an F4B-3, BTW. The "tell" in this regard is the barely visible U.S. NAVY painted on the underside of the bottom wing. F4B-4 never got that treatment. There are a couple of other visual clues, but that block lettering is the dead-giveaway.

Put up a slideshow of GWB-18:

Sorry, if this seems like old news. I was a bit tardy in sourcing this one and having it delivered.

As always, "the show" will display better in HD mode.:)

It is obvious that the first photo is where James Dietz took his inspiration for his painting 'The Professionals', only he actually did flip the the viewing angle. Great photos and a great painting by Dietz.^&cool -- Al
