While not a toy soldier item, my 506 unit crest that I earned while part of the unit. It is my most treasured military momento. So many great memories, one of the best years of my life.

This is one of the more rare figure sets that I have in my collection. They were a private order from Collectors Showcase of just 12 sets of 4 figures of Russian Don Cossacks. I picked these up at a show and wish I had bought both of the full sets that were available there. I picked up one full set of the 4 figure poses and a 5th figure from the other set.
here are a few pics!

Most unique has to be King Henry VIII, I suppose. Made by Britains around 1935 especially for Madame Tussaude's waxwork museum souvenir shop - and stands at 67mm ( according to Opie's Guide book). Depends where you measure him from.

I bought this one in a mixed cardboard box of 27 (mostly damaged), Toy Soldiers from a market trader in Bath (UK). The lot cost me a tenner at the time. Opie valued him at £20 back in 1985 - when his book was published. I didn't know a lot about him for a while - and he was in my "To be re-painted" pile for a short time - until I realised just what I had. Quite a rarity I'm told - and a curiosity - but still don't like him all that much. jb

.......They are for me unique artillery pieces due to the fact that these were sold as kits by the manufacturers and these same manufacturers no longer trade, hence not many are still in the market. I matched them with great garrisons from Rose Miniatures - John Eden Studios, then added the icing on the cake in the form of the great art work done by Obee assemblying them......
The pictures are for one 5 inch howitzer ( Mountford ) plus complementary gunners ( Rose Miniatures - John Eden Studios ), one 18 pdr and one 13 pdr both from Hinchliffe with complementary gunners from Rose Miniatures ( John Eden Studios ).

Cheers

This figure of Gertrude Bell made for me by collector William Grant. She is shown here in the desert with her friend Lawrence of Arabia (made by the late Craig Pearce of Wilson Edward)

Hi Randy,

I love the figures in your photograph! I am especially glad to see a figure of Gertrude Bell. To the best of my knowledge, only Beau Geste has ever produced a figure of Ms. Bell, so it is nice to see another version of this most interesting woman. Ms. Bell certainly earned a significant place in history. It is unfortunate she is not frequently mentioned in our history books.

Thanks for posting your photo. I am enjoying it very much.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

This is a very unique and one off piece I picked up at a LTSS a couple of years back.

Alexander Toy Soldiers had made some great figures of a horse called Songster, who was with the Leicestershire Yeomanry, the same regiment as my grandfather. I do not collect gloss and did say so to the chap at the stand. He showed me this one off matte painted piece and offered to sell it to me, which he did. It is one of my most treasured and rare items.

1/67 scale V2 from Revell. This is very hard to find as I'm still looking for another one to build.

Great. I hope you have one. I'll take it off your hand.
