BRZRKR---Keanu Reeves commented on his live-action Netflix movie and animated tv series based on the comic book inspired by his concept, “We’re working with Netflix who have been very cool. They’re going to let us do an R-rated story which is cool. My ambition or hope is not to do a filmed version of the comic book so that they’ll have things in common, definitely the main character and his kind of rule set, but that we can take it to other places as well. We’re talking to a couple of different animation companies and trying to figure that out. And, again, for me I’m hoping to be inspired and influenced…there are some rules to the story, but I also want other creators to do their version of it. So I’m hoping to do a different version of a metaverse where in the sense having different storytellers with one set of rules but go other places with it. We’re working on trying to set up a company with the animation and we’ve hired a writer for the film Mattson Tomlin. He’s been cool and just starting to put things together. That’s where we’re at.”

JOKER---Joaquin Phoenix commented on the rumored sequel, "I mean, I dunno. From when we were shooting, we started to —you know, uhh, this is an interesting guy. There are some things we could do with this guy and could [explore] further. But as to whether we actually will? I don’t know."

THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER---Netflix/Mike Flanagan (MIDNIGHT MASS) tv series underway based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story. The 1960 movie version starred Vincent price.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE---Bailey Bass will play Claudia in the AMC vampire series based on the Anne Rice novel. Kirsten Dunst played Claudia in the original 1994 Tom Cruise movie.

SCI Fi---Kristen Stewart and Steven Yuen will star in this untitled sci fi movie that Stewart described as, “It’s actually a love story between a satellite and a buoy; it’s hard to explain. I hope I don’t botch it because it’s a really revolutionarily written script.”

HARKNESS---Kathryn Hahn will star as Agatha Harkness in an untitled WANDAVISION dark comedy spinoff series on Disney+. Hahn will also appear as Harkness in other Marvel Studios movie and tv projects.

NAPOLEON BONAPARTE---director Cary Fukunaga commented on the status of the Steven Spielberg-produced HBO miniseries based on Stanley Kubrick's cancelled Napoleon Bonaparte biomovie that would have starred Jack Nicholson, "[I've] been working on [Napoleon] now for, I wanna say, four or five years, maybe longer. So yeah, I'm definitely involved in that. We've got all the scripts of the episodes now and we're getting ready to see where the next stage is on it. So it's happening."

A FLICKER IN THE DARK---HBO Max miniseries underway based on the upcoming novel about a young girl whose father confesses to her that he killed six teenage girls. Twenty years later, she is a psychologist and becomes worried when teenage girls are missing.

TRIVIA---in Clint Eastwood's THE EIGER SANCTION, Brenda Venus played George, the daughter of George Kennedy's character. When Venus was in college, she bought a book at an auction which contained an envelope with famed writer Henry Miller's address on it. Venus wrote to Miller, which led to a friendship with Miller as her mentor. Writer Ed Millis said,"Venus was a source of inspiration to the aging and ailing Miller. Brenda was all of 24 years of age, Henry was 84. She was a beautiful Southern belle, 'The Boticelli of Mississippi'—he called her. Henry, the renegade intellectual, the writer, had taken millions of us to the sexy Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn. Now he was sick and slowly recuperating. He needed a lift in spirits... ZODIAC---Case Breakers, a team of 40 crime investigators who specialize in solving cold cases, claim they finally solved the case of the ZODIAC KILLER who terrorized San Francisco in the 1960s. Case Breakers said the Zodiac Killer is Gary Francis Poste, who died in 2018. However,the FBI and California police said the Case Breakers evidence is strictly circumstantial and the case is still open. Mark Ruffalo, who played San Francisco Inspector Dave Toschi in David Fincher's ZODIAC, commented on the Case Breakers claim, "I’ve been down this road before. They made a movie about it. Maybe…maybe not. Every few years someone says they figured if out. Let’s hope they got the guy."

HELLRAISER---transgender actress Jamie Clayton will play Pinhead in the reboot movie.

JAMES BOND---Denis Villeneuve said he wants to direct a James Bond movie, "I would deeply love one day to make a James Bond movie. It’s a character that I’ve been with since my childhood. I have massive affection for Bond. It would be a big challenge to try and reboot it after what Daniel did. What Daniel Craig brought to Bond was so unique and strong and honestly unmatchable. He’s the ultimate James Bond...I don’t know if such a thing would happen, but it would be a privilege. That would be pure cinematic joy."

PROPHET---Jake Gyllenhaal will star in the movie based on the comic book. The synopsis is, “John Prophet volunteers for a German experiment near the end of World War II in order to feed his family. After a bombing buries him alive and traps him underground for 20 years, he reawakens in 1965, where things are not great for Prophet. The world has moved on without him, his daughter resents him, and KGB agents are after him to create super-soldiers from his blood.”

BOY KILLS WORLD---Bill Skarsgard and Samara Weaving will star in this movie set in a dystopian future where a deaf-mute boy's family is murdered, and he is trained to be an assassin.

DOOMSDAY MACHINE---Claire Foy will play Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg in this miniseries based on the book AN UGLY TRUTH: INSIDE FACEBOOK'S BATTLE FOR DOMINATION.

FOUNDATION---Apple TV+ renewed the series for Season 2.

Also, Colin Baker, the sixth Doctor Who, thinks the next Doctor Who should be a minority, "I suspect that the trend is going to take us down the BAME (Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic) route – and quite right, too! … There's a whole sector of the acting community that's been ill-served for decades. It'll certainly, I suspect, not be a white middle-aged man; I would like to think it will be another female Doctor, because I enjoyed watching [Jodie Whittaker]."

DUNE---Denis Villeneuve said he is not interested in talking to David Lynch, the original movie's director, "If I was meeting with Lynch, I’d be more interested to talk about painting than DUNE. I’m not expecting to have that chance to share the experience."
He added that he is not sure the remake will be as successful as Lynch's original, "I don’t know if I succeeded, OK. I have a very close relationship with the movie I made… I’m kind of proud of the movie, but it’s up to other people to judge. For me it’s about the result — it’s about the process."

THAT '90S SHOW---Netflix THAT '70S SHOW spinoff is underway with Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp returning and is set in 1995.

THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK---THE SOPRANOS prequel was HBO Max's top-rated movie with triple the audience of the second-place movie. The prequel also led to a 65% increase THE SOPRANOS viewings. As expected, the prequel did poorly in theaters with only a $4.6 million box office.

STAR TREK: PRODIGY---Robert Beltran is returning as the voice of Chakotay for the Paramount+ animated tv series.

NASH BRIDGES---USA Network announced the reunion movie based on the tv series with Don Johnson and Cheech Marin returning will premiere on November 27.

In TOMORROW NEVER DIES, Byrne played Admiral Kelly, commander of the British frigate HMS Bedford which sinks Bond Villain Elliot Carver' stealth ship which was supposed to start a nuclear war between England and China.

NO TIME TO DIE---the sequel earned $56 million in its opening weekend, but projections were up to $84 million. The movie brought in $313 million worldwide, but its budget was $250 million to $300 million plus a reported $250 million promotion cost.

NCIS---the October 11 episode was Mark Harmon's last starring role on the long-running series. Showrunner Steven Binder said, “As an executive producer and dear friend, Mark continues to be an integral part of the fabric of the show. Our north star has always been staying true to our characters, and that truth has always guided the stories we tell and where those characters go. So regarding the future of Gibbs, as long-time fans of the show may have noticed over the years… never count Leroy Jethro Gibbs out.”

THE SON---Hugh Jackman, Anthony Hopkins and Laura Dern star in the movie based on the play. The synopsis is, “The film centers around Peter, whose busy life with new partner Emma and their baby is thrown into disarray when his ex-wife Kate turns up with their teenage son, Nicholas. The young man is troubled, distant and angry, playing truant from school for months. Peter strives to be a better father, searching to help his son with those intimate and instinctive moments of family happiness. But the weight of Nicholas’ condition sets the family on a dangerous course.”

RETREAT---Emma Corrin stars in this FX miniseries whose synopsis is, “RETREAT follows Darby Hart and 11 other guests who are invited by a reclusive billionaire to take part in a retreat at a dazzling, remote location. When one of the guests is found dead, Darby must fight to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life.”

TRIVIA---during production of the 2000 CHARLIE'S ANGELS, a well-publicized argument erupted between Bill Murray and Lucy Liu, but there were different versions of what happened. Production assistant Shaun O'Banion, who had worked with Murray before, wanted to set the record straight and gave this account, "Basically, Murray rewrote a bunch of scenes without telling anyone (including Drew who was a producer). He put the new pages in everyone’s trailers & everyone came to set wondering where the hell the new pages had come from. Murray was the last to step on stage and by that time there was already mass confusion. McG (director) was pissed that no one had consulted him. The AD’s were also pissed. Drew’s producing partner came in and Murray was like, ‘What’s going on?’ McG was like, “did you get new pages in your trailer?’ And Murray was like, ‘No. But I put new pages in everyone else’s trailer.’Drew and her partner were pretty upset by this. Murray was like, ‘I’m making it better, ok? You’ve got, like, 16 writers on this thing…’ and Lucy spoke up, saying something like, ‘this is way out of line.’"
The production assistant added, "Murray turned and said, ‘I don’t know what you’re complaining about. I gave you more lines. I mean… look who you’re in with here. You’re TV… and this is the big league.’ At that point Lucy shouted, ‘F*ck you, you f*cking c*cksucker!’ And the AD’s promptly cleared the stage as Lucy ran off the stage crying. Cameron was trying to be the peacekeeper and protect Drew as the AD’s cleared the stage. Of course all of us in production had to stay inside to keep people out. I love Bill Murray (and had worked with him before), but what he said to her was totally uncalled for. Really belittling and ****ty. This was pretty early in the process too, and the crew already really liked Lucy (and Cameron and Drew). Anyway. No punches were thrown. At least not physically. He later apologized though not entirely sincerely imho."
Liu commented on the incident, "I was, like, 'Wow, he seems like he's looking straight at me. I couldn't believe that it could be towards me, because what do I have to do with anything majorly important at that time? It was unjust and it was uncalled for. Some of the language was inexcusable and unacceptable, and I was not going to just sit there and take it. So, yes, I stood up for myself, and I don't regret it."
She added, "Because no matter how low on the totem pole you may be or wherever you came from, there's no need to condescend or to put other people down. And I would not stand down, and nor should I have and nor did I."

STAR TREK---William Shatner, 90, became the oldest man to travel in space after his ten-minute flight on the Blue Origin New Shepard space vehicle. After landing in the Texas desert, Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos opened the hatch and greeted Shatner and his three fellow astronauts. Shatner thanked Bezos for the opportunity, "That was unlike anything they described... that's unlike everything you'll ever see or ever feel again."
During the flight, Shatner's Twitter account included this Issac Newton quote, "I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, diverting myself in now & then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me."

SQUID GAME---the South Korean animated series has become Netflix most popular series in its first four weeks with 111 million viewers.

McCARTHY---Michael Shannon and Emilia Clarke will star in the biomovie about Sen. Joe McCarthy and the McCarthy Era.

TALES OF THE WALKING DEAD---new AMC anthology series featuring six one-hour episodes with new and established characters from THE WALKING DEAD.

BILLIONS---ENTOURAGE creator Doug Ellin claimed his idea for the hedge-themed tv series was stolen by two former colleagues. Ellin claimed he enlisted two friends to help him write a hedge fund series, but HBO passed on it, and it eventually became a Showtime series. However, he was not the producer, which was part of the deal, and he was not even aware the series was sold to Showtime.
Ellin refused to name his two ex-friends, but hinted they wrote for ROUNDERS. Brian Koppleman and David Levren are the co-creators of BILLIONS and both wrote for ROUNDERS.
Ellin said about his two ex-friends, “This was like kind of as low rent, lowlife ***** as can possibly be done...I want nothing out of this. I want the universe to take care of itself and burn them in f*cking hell.”

UNIVERSAL MONSTERS---Jason Blum said he is working on more reboots of the Universal monster movies, "We have two or three we're developing. They're not yet announced, so I can't talk about them. But the status with Universal monsters is no different than it's ever been. Universal is in charge of the Universal monsters. But we've come up with a few ideas that they've liked for a few of their other ones. And hopefully, we'll turn those into movies."
The only announced reboot is THE WOLF MAN starring Ryan Gosling.

HALLOWEEN KILLS---Jamie Lee Curtis commented on if she will return for another HALLOWEEN movie, "I would probably say no, to you just here, just to be honest with you."

MAFIA MAMA---Toni Collette and Monica Bellucci will star in this comedy movie about a American housewife who discovers her late grandfather was the leader of the Mafia in Southern Italy and wants her to be his successor.

THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER---director Mike Flanagan commented on the Netflix horror series based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story, “A lot of the stuff I do is a slow burn. THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER is a brush fire. It is an explosion. It is as aggressive and rock ‘n roll and over the top and just violent and insane and horrific as anything I have ever done… by a lot. We’re gonna pull all the all stars from the Intrepid group of actors and some great new faces and we’re just gonna f*cking jam.
We want just buckets of blood pouring out of the ceiling on page two. And we’re just gonna go ballistic. And we’re gonna do it all to the music of one of the most intensely effective gothic horror writers. This is what we’ve been craving. A chance to just go ballistic on something.
The entire catalogue of Poe is wide open. It’s all public domain. We can cherry pick whatever we want and put it into one giant, crazy, heavy metal riff that’s just blood-soaked and wild. In a sense, we get to blow off steam after five very emotional years. And it lets me play in a corner of the genre I haven’t gotten to play in in a long time. It’s a relief really. It’s fun to have fun.”

ELLEN---Lin Shaye (INSIDIOUS) will star in this miniseries about a greedy developer who tries to run an 80 year-old widow off her Montana ranch.

HELEN & TEACHER---Millicent Simmonds (A QUIET PLACE) and Rachel Brosnahan (THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL) will star in this biomovie about Helen Keller her translator Anne Sullivan. The synopsis is, "Set during the early 1900’s, the movie will follow Keller’s tumultuous time at Radcliffe College of Harvard University when her rapidly expanding worldview and sexual awakening brings her into direct conflict with the more conservative Sullivan. When Ms. Sullivan is courted by the young and brilliant publisher, John Macy, tensions escalate between the two women threatening the bonds of their friendship."

VOIR---David Fincher/Netflix docuseries described as a, “collection of visual essays for the love of cinema”.

TOM CLANCY'S JACK RYAN---Amazon renewed the series for Season 4.

TRIVIA---Michael Caine commented on starring in THE SWARM, the disaster movie that was a box office disaster and considered to be one of the worst movies ever made, "When I did THE SWARM, I had just got to America, and I didn't have much money, and house prices had gone up. STAR TREK---George Takei commented on William Shatner's flight into outer space on the Blue Origin New Shepard spaceship, "He’s boldly going where other people have gone before. He’s a guinea pig, 90 years old, and it’s important to find out what happens. So 90 years old is going to show a great deal more on the wear and tear on the human body, so he’ll be a good specimen to study. Although he’s not the fittest specimen of 90 years old, so he’ll be a specimen that’s unfit!"
One STAR TREK fan tweeted, "If it weren’t for William Shatner, would anyone know of George Takei?" Another fan replied, "It is a little sad that after all these years Takei still can’t let go of grudges. I mean they’re 84 and 90! Time to move past that *****."

WONDER WOMAN 3---director Patty Jenkins said the second sequel is underway, and Lynda Carter confirmed she will appear in it. Jenkins said, “[WONDER WOMAN 1984] gave me a chance to do a lot of things that I couldn’t accommodate in the first movie. I was so happy to tell the Wonder Woman origin story. It was almost her birth, but we really haven’t seen what she is capable of. It is exciting for me to show her at the peak of her strength. But it is also very important that she fights an internal struggle: she is a Goddess and tries to help humanity. She is not only someone who fights evil, she tries to show bad people how to improve. It’s an interesting dilemma.”
She added, “The next one is probably my last Wonder Woman movie, so I have to put everything I want to show there. We have to think carefully.”

HALLOWEEN---Jamie Lee Curtis was asked if she had seen the HALLOWEEN movies in which she did not appear, "No. I wouldn't watch a horror movie if you paid me...."=And I say that with all of the people at Universal going, 'Oh my God, did she just say that? On camera?' I am not a fan of the genre."
She added, "I don't like being scared. Maybe that's why I'm good at it. Maybe they found the one actress who kind of abhors violence and abhors suspense, and drama, and the creeping around and things jumping."

INDIANA JONES 5---photos from the film set in Sicily show Phoebe Waller-Bridge's character rescuing Indiana Jones and another photo shows Roman soldiers. This led to speculation that the sequel involves time travel, but others claim the Roman soldiers are a part of the plot to explain an event that occurred in the Roman times.

DOCTOR WHO---a photo from Season 13 shows a dog-like alien Karvanista.

HALLOWEEN KILLS---the appearance of Dr. Loomis in the sequel was not CGI version of Donald Pleasence, but it was art director Tom Jones Jr. with makeup. His voice was provided by Colin Mahan as in the 2018 movie.

EXTRAPOLATIONS---Meryl Streep, Kit Harington, and David Schwimmer will star in this Apple TV+ series about climate change.

KILL BILL---Quentin Tarantino replied to he his next movie might be a KILL BILL sequel, "Why not?"

DREAMIN' WILD--Casey Affleck, Zooey Deschanel and Walton Goggins will star in the movie about pop-funk artists Donnie and Joe Emerson.

BATWOMAN---Ruby Rose said, "Enough is enough. I'm going to tell the whole world what really happened on that set" and provided more details on why she quit the series. Rose claimed showrunner Caroline Dries only visited the set 4-5 times during the year and rushed to complete the series while other shows were shutting down due to coronavirus.
Rose also mentioned co-star Dougray Scott as being "unprofessional", injured a stuntwoman and "left when he wanted and arrived when he wanted," and "abused women."
She also criticized Warner Bros. TV head Peter Roth for engaging in inappropriate behavior when he made women steam his pants while he was still wearing them, and he hired a private investigator to follow her and fired him after his report "didn't fit" what Roth wanted.

RUST---production of the movie was halted pending an investigation into the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halnya Hutchins when she was killed after Alec Baldwin fired a pistol. Reportedly, armorer Hannah Gutierrez had three prop pistols, supposedly loaded with blanks, and gave one to assistant director David Halls, who announced it was a "cold pistol" (no live rounds) and gave it to Baldwin, who then fired it and killed Hutchins.
Earlier, camera operators had complained to production managers about gun safety after Baldwin's stunt double accidentally fired two live rounds after being told it was a cold pistol. One camera operator said, “There should have been an investigation into what happened. There were no safety meetings. There was no assurance that it wouldn’t happen again. All they wanted to do was rush, rush, rush.”
In response to the shooting, THE BOYS showrunner Eric Kripke posted, “no more guns with blanks on any of my sets ever. We’ll use VFX muzzle flashes. Who’s with me?”

JAMES BOND---Edgar Wright (BABY DRIVER) said he would like to direct a James Bond movie and would return to the original 007 movies with a little humor, “Dark chocolate, Daniel Craig. It’s crying out for another milk chocolate Bond, that’s my theory."

I probably can’t tell you about it, but it doesn’t matter. In any case, some people were quite surprised why I decided on such a project of all things. But for me it was very clear: I got to know the director – and I really liked him a lot. He was funny, humble, everything you want from a director.

While filming TARANTULA!, Corday became friends with the uncredited actor who played the US Air Force squadron leader who finally killed the giant Tarantula. The actor was then-unknown Clint Eastwood. Years later when Eastwood was an international star, he used Corday in his movies THE GAUNTLET, SUDDEN IMPACT, PINK CADILLAC and THE ROOKIE.

DUNE---Denis Villeneuve said he wants to make a DUNE trilogy ending with Frank Herbert's DUNE MESSIAH, "I always envisioned three movies ... It's not that I want to do a franchise, but this is DUNE, and DUNE is a huge story. To honor it, I think you would need at least three movies. That would be the dream. To follow Paul Atreides and his full arc would be nice ... Herbert wrote six books, and the more he was writing, the more it was getting psychedelic ... So I don't know how some of them could be adapted. One thing at a time. If I ever have the chance to do DUNE: PART TWO and DUNE MESSIAH, I'm blessed."

Kurt Russell and Charles Hallahan appeared in two movies in which Russell played a pilot. In John Carpenter's THE THING, Russell played helicopter pilot RJ MacReady and Hallahan played geologist Vance Norris. In EXECUTIVE DECISION, Russell played terrorist expert/pilot Dr. David Grant and Hallahan played Gen. Sarlow.
In reality, Russell is a long-time pilot and is reportedly the pilot who first reported the appearance of the massive V-shaped UFO that appeared over Phoenix, Arizona on March 13, 1997. Russell was with his son Oliver when he sighted the UFO, "I was the pilot. Oliver and I were flying in; I was flying him to go see his girlfriend. And we were on approach. I saw six lights over the airport in absolute uniform in a V-shape... I was just looking at them and I was coming in, we were maybe a half mile out. Oliver said, 'Pa, what are those lights?' Then I kind of came out of my reverie and I said, 'I don't know what they are.' He said, 'Are we okay here?' I said 'I'm gonna call,' and I reported it. They said...'We don't show anything.'
"I said, 'Well, okay, I'm gonna declare it's unidentified, it's flying and it's six objects.' We landed, I taxied, dropped him off, took off and went back to L.A. I never said a word, he never said a word. I never thought of it. Two years later, [his wife] Goldie [Hawn] is watching a television show when I came home. And the show is on UFOs...And I'm kind of hearing the TV going. And I stopped and I started watching and it was on that event. And that was the most viewed UFO event, over 20,000 people saw that."
He added, "I'm watching this and I'm feeling like Richard Dreyfuss in CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND. I go, 'What, why do I know this?' And it's not clear to me. And finally they said a general aviation pilot reported it on landing. I never thought of it since then and I said, 'That was me, that was me! Wait a minute, I'll go to my logbooks.' So I went to my logbooks and there was that flight, at that time, and I didn't mention anything about the UFO."
Russell continued, "The fascinating part of that, to me, was that it just went literally out of my head. And Oliver never mentioned it. Had I not seen the show I never would've thought of it again. That, to me, was the weird part."

THREE-BODY PROBLEM---Jovan Adepo, Benedict Wong, Liam Cunningham and Eiza Gonzalez will star in this Netflix/David Benioff and DB Weiss series based on the Chinese novels.

BIRD BOX---Mario Casas and Georgina Campbell star in the untitled Netflix BIRD BOX Spanish-language spinoff movie set in Barcelona. The synopsis says,"After a mysterious force decimates the world's population by causing all who see it to take their lives, Sebastian and his young daughter Anna must navigate their own journey of survival through the desolate streets of Barcelona. But as they form an uneasy alliance with other survivors and make their way toward a safe haven, a threat more sinister than the unseen creatures grows."

THE BLACK DEMON---Josh Lucas stars in this movie about an oilman and his family trapped on an oil rig that is under attack by a giant megalodon known as the Black Demon.

WANTED MAN---Dolph Lundgren stars in this movie about an old cop who must rescue a woman, who witnessed DEA agents being murdered by a drug cartel, and get her safely across the border.

BLOOD MOTHER---Felicity Jones stars in this movie about an Oxford professor who discovers her baby is not human and does everything possible to keep it alive.

NATIONAL TREASURE---Lisette Alexis will star in the Disney+ tv series based on the Nicolas Cage movies. The tv series focuses on a young hispanic woman who seeks to solve a mystery connecting her parents and a lost Pan-American treasure.
