STAR WARS---Dave Filoni commented on the status of his STAR WARS movie, “It’s a long development. One of the reasons why is I like to work on very large arcs, and I try to factor in all the things that I’m creating simultaneously and look at them and say, ‘Well, how do we do unique things? What are unique set pieces, and where is the story going? What’s the play of the story?’
I ask myself these questions. I have general outlines for all these things, general timelines for all these things. I keep moving the pieces on the board for a big strategy. That’s the way I’ve always worked since I started on CLONE WARS, and I got to the end of that series finally.
You keep that in your mind in the future while you’re working on the present. So, right now, I’ll be on Season 2 [of AHSOKA], and as those stories develop, it might change things that would affect what’s happening in the future and what I would do. At times, it’s a balancing act, but I’m constantly working at it, working out scenes. I know several scenes and where they would go, so you just kind of plug it in as you go.”
Filoni also commented on AHSOKA's Season 2, "Season 2 was predictably a big challenge because of losing Ray [Stevenson]. I knew Ray from working on voice acting with him. It was a challenge for me to consider continuing for a while. But I have a wonderful support group in Jon (Favreau) and Rosario (Dawson)
I found a way in — I had Ray in my head. I’m grateful for all my conversations with him about Baylan. So, I understood what to do, it just took a while to get there. I’m very confident now that Ray would be happy with the direction that we’ve chosen.
The character is meant to be the parallel to Ahsoka in every way. If there’s a light, there’s a dark, and Baylan is representing a different journey for a Jedi as you (Rosario) represent one who walked away from the (Jedi) order, so did he. That’s a parallel that must continue.”
Rosario Dawson said about AHSOKA's Season 2, “It’s called STAR WARS. And we’re going to have a pretty significant war… It’s so cinematic. Thrawn goes big.”
Also, Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy announced that Tony McNamara (POOR THINGS) will co-write the Taiki Waititi STAR WARS movie.
Lucasfilm is developing other tv shows including the animated STAR WARS: VISIONS PRESENTS--THE NINTH JEDI which is based on the animated short STAR WARS: VISIONS anthology.

THE X-FILES---Ryan Coogler commented on his THE X-FILES revival, “I’m working on X-FILES. That’s what’s immediately next. So, I’ve been excited about that for a long time, and I’m fired up to get back to it, and that, you know, some of those episodes, if we do our jobs right, will be really f–king scary.”
He added he has contacted Gillian Anderson about returning, “She’s incredible and fingers crossed there...We’re going to try to make something really great, bro, and make something for the real X-FILES fans and maybe find some new ones.”

SPIDER-MAN---Andrew Garfield said he would like to return as the Marvel superhero with one condition, "I would love to play the character again in some capacity, but I think it would have to be very weird. I think I would like to do something very strange, I would want to do something very unique, and offbeat and surprising."

THE WEEZER MOVIE---Keanu Reeves will reportedly play a villain in the movie featuring the rock band that will be a "concert movie that doubles as a mockumentary."

THE MIGHTY DUCKS 4---Emilio Estevez said he has written the sequel script, but Disney is not interested, “I also wrote MIGHTY DUCKS 2. I wanted to make up for all of the disasters that happened on the GAME CHANGERS series. [It’s] a feature script that had coach Bombay coming back, being pulled back in by Joshua Jackson’s character and Kenan Thompson’s character and to coach a new team, an expansion team, for the professional women’s hockey league.
So, it would be an all-girl team. Now, when we discover Bombay, he’s coaching roller derby and so he says, ‘My girls are going with me. They have to have a shot.’ It was charming and contemporary and cool and organically of the moment. It’s where we’re at.. Disney was like, ‘We don’t want to pursue that.'”

CLEAN SLATE---Amazon Prime cancelled the series.

TRIVIA---Jack Warden received two Academy Award nominations for Best Supporting Actor in two movies that starred Warren Beatty and Julie Christie and were co-written by Beatty.
Warden co-starred as millionaire Lester Karpf with Beatty and Christie in SHAMPOO which was co-written by Beatty and Robert Towne. Warden co-starred as Los Angeles Rams trainer Max Corkle with Beatty and Christie in HEAVEN CAN WAIT which was co-written by Beatty and Elaine May.

The X-Files is my all time favorite show but I don't see a new version of it being successful. When they brought it back a few years ago it wasn't that good, there's a time and place for everything. I hope I'm wrong. 😁
