VIVA LA MADNESS---Jason Statham and Vinnie Jones star in the Guy Ritchie movie based on the novel whose synopsis says, “Connolly is back with a sequel that sees him on the same stunning form, with his trademark razor-sharp dialogue and quick-fire violence, but also finding dark humor and pathos in the lives of violent men. From the London underworld, Viva la Madness moves to international crime with trans-Atlantic drug deals, money laundering, and high-tech electronic fraud, portrayed with the same uncanny believability. The anonymous hero of Layer Cake is pulled back into the drug game before he can escape to a sunny retirement. In a dazzling combination of London low-life, Caribbean high-life, and Venezuelan drug cartels toting machine-guns in Mayfair, our hero’s voice and mission are authentic, thrilling, and whiplash-inducing in equal shares.”
CAPE FEAR---photos released from the Apple TV 10-part miniseries starring Javier Bardem, Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson. Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg are the co-producers. The 1962 movie starred Robert Mitchum and Gregory Peck. The Scorsese 1991 movie starred Robert De Niro and Nick Nolte.
F1: THE MOVIE---F1 head Stefano Domenicali commented on a sequel to the Brad Pitt racing movie, “We’re going to tell you something more in the future. Never say never. But we need to digest more the success of this movie because it was something unique. And if you want to think of a new one, it has to be really, very, very good. Therefore, if this will happen, it will not be for next year. But maybe next year we’re going to be here [at the press day], and hopefully we have something more to announce [then]."
SHE-HULK---Tatiana Maslany commented on rumors that she turned an offer to return as She-Hulk to the MCU, “You’ll never know. I don’t know. Do you know?”
TRIVIA---STAR TREK stars William Shatner and Walter Koenig reunited in the COLUMBO episode "Fade in to Murder" where Shatner played Ward Fowler, star of the hit tv series DETECTIVE LUCERNE, who murders a studio executive who was blackmailing him because he was a Korean War deserter. Koenig played LAPD Sgt. Johnson, who briefs Columbo on the murder.
Koenig commented on reuniting with Shatner on COLUMBO, "I didn't work with Bill. Bill was in other scenes. I remember we took a trolley, a little go-cart, together to go to lunch...and he didn't talk to me...because that was the time between the series and the movies, and I don't think he remembered my name."
