I'm impressed you posted this gem GH, Shona is a bit of a Kiwi icon. She also released another controversial song called "Soviet Snow"........

World famous in New Zealand.

Thanks for introducing me to her.

Looked her up.

Quite good stuff.

Most Kiwi musicians/bands popped across the ditch back in the 70's and 80's to Oz to try and make it big and many did exceptionally way. It was almost a right of passage and I remember the likes of Dragon, Split Enz, Sharon O'Neil, Jenny Morris etc doing great things.

I believe Shona Lang travelled extensively and also spent time in the UK.

Pleased you're enjoying some of her stuff.

I get a real thrill listening to some of the older music from my youth. Some of the clips are a bit dated though and sound quality not that flash. ^&grin

And who couldn't like Sharon O'Neill, I know I did back in the day :wink2:

I've recently returned from a road trip to Sydney with my older Brother who doesn't like to fly. Sydney is over 1,000 km (600 Miles) from where we live, and spending over 10 hours each way was an 'experience' for both of us, especially when we have very different tastes in music. He refuses to listen to my Rock songs and I don't like his Funky 60's music {eek3} ^&grin

However here's one 'blast from the past' that we both liked.

And now one of my faves my Brother, who's now 72 years old, definitely would have 'vetoed' on the road trip ^&grin

The famous Neil Finn, before leaving Split Enz to eventually form the great 'Crowded House' with some Aussie mates.........

Love the 'Police' and have many of their LPs......they remind me fondly of the 80s.

Great song but I wonder if The Police could catch that Little Red Corvette ^&grin

This is a little different lads......I'm not a massive Rolling Stones fan, but enjoy their music more as I've got older.

This short clip is about Lisa Fischers backing vocals of Gimme Shelter........

Enjoy.
